We walked in with no booking and the host made a table available to us after a couple of no shows to bookings so really helpful there. Food was great as always but the service by our young gentleman server was not the best repeated asking us the same question over and over but not actually serving us. My wife got locked in the toilet and not apology from anyone had to ask for the bill 3 times before getting it as our server forgot we had asked for it already.so asked for the service charge to be removed. Not the best service from the server.

Good food, reasonable price. The burgers are more than enough & very tasty. A good selection of beers, wine & spirits. All fresh cooked food what more could you ask for?

Came for the relaunch of the breakfast, two weekends in a row. Breakfast took 30-40 minutes to come after ordering. In the first visit, I ordered the Veggie Breakfast. My family ordered the British Breakfast. They forgot my mushrooms and all our tea. In the second visit, they forgot all my sides (fried toast, smashed browns & veggie sausage) Nobody checked our table, so the waitress only found out about this when she came to clear the plates. She took it off our bill but unfortunately I’m not full from my meal. I had the avocado toast. Thank god it was 50% off. I can’t see the breakfast offering lasting very long and will be stopped (like last time) I have visited Red Dog countless times, I know they are slow, but this took the cake. My friend complained to Red Dog on Instagram regarding his meal a few years ago. They blocked him rather than helping him.

Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. The burger was amazing. They didn’t have a lot of chicken burger choices as it was mainly beef for the burgers even though they were happy to swap out for chicken. I got the Sando and was very happy with my choice. Chicken was the perfect amount of crispy and the sauce and coleslaw weren’t overpowering. We also ordered the fried pickles and jalapeños with mozzarella sticks as a starter which was ok, nothing to write home about. A tray of chicken called ‘the whole coup’ which had some of the best fried chicken I have had. The tenders and wings in the tray were decent, would have preferred the tenders to be crispier. Finally, we had to get a side of buffalo wings with fries. The buffalo wings were great, some of the best I've had. Service was excellent and very helpful.

Not what was expected. This is the second time visiting this time not as good as the last. Food quantity gone downhill and service some of the worst ever had. Started well got table then ordered a few drinks. When it came to ordering food that seemed to go fine. Asked for chicken wings to start then a couple of burgers and some sides. All seemed fine. Well that is until the food was delivered the wings and burgers came first. Not as was expected we thought we would be starting with wings before getting the burgers and sides. When I asked why the wings didn’t come as a starter was told it comes together. This was very surprising as the table nest seemed to get a starter before the burgers. I had the LTB chicken burger that was very nice. Thank the lord as this was the only good tasting food I had. As was eating this one of the servers came over and ask if we needed anything else. Informed him no but would be nice if could get the sides we had ordered. He disappeared and the sides turned up 5 mins later. This was the Mac and Cheese have to say the worst I’ve ever had. Very runny and no taste just so bland. Also had the Burnt Ends Mash. Again this was very bland and definitely not burnt ends but very fatty ends. We also had the onion rings these were tasty but just could have been doing with cooking as was more raw onion than cooked. Also had the mozzarella sticks these weren’t too bad but cold. The other burger we had was the KC Special only issue was this wasn’t too special. It may have been better if one of the servers had come and asked how the food was but after the food was delivered they just seemed to ignore us as we had be watered and fed. Trying to get another drink was a no hoper so didn’t. Also tried to get the attention of a server to get the bill as just thought best to give up and go. If you want a night out with good food and good service please don’t visit the Red Dog Saloon in Southampton it’s not that sort of place. Well not today when we visited

Loved this place!! Booked a table which was definitely a good idea as a busy place! Our server was great - very helpful gave great suggestions and recommendations. Service was fantastic. Ordered the burger with bacon, black pudding and peanut butter - a new combination but so delicious- highly recommend and will be trying again! Cocktails were yummy too.

1st time going to Red Dog Saloon. Went for date night to try a restaurant we hadn't been to before. The food was amazing. Staff asked how you wanted your burgers cooked. There is no meal options so you have to purchase items separately. Staff were friendly & helpful. Didn't feel rushed. The atmosphere was great. Loved the feel of the restaurant. One thing I would say though is the music was very loud. We visited on a Sunday evening, not too busy which was great. I struggled to hear my husband sometimes with the music level. But absolutely loved the food. I ordered the peanut butter burger & was not disappointed. Was very happy with the amount of fries you get as a side order & the onion rings were perfectly cooked. I just think £60 for 2 burgers, 2 fries & onion rings is a little pricey. There is a 10% service charge added no matter what size party you are. Other places only add this if you are a party of say 6 or more. There was 2 of us, thought that was a little cheeky. But cannot fault the food & service. Just don't know if we'd go back. Other places do similar food at a better price. But we had a great date night.

Went out for dinner on Wednesday night, wasn't that busy during our visit. Staffs are friendly, no problem at all. - Very over priced on everything. - Small portion of food. - Didn't know there is 10% of service charge. - fries arrived cold - Messy Shake (large ice cream on top of a small Stainless Steel Cup / medical steel cup- whatever, just not a big fun of this cup) can't even push the ice cream down. So messy and waste of money. Paying £6.50 to watch your Ice cream malteing all over your table) - Food tastes and quality, just about average. Nothing too special. 2 drinks, 2 mains, 2 sides + 10% service charge = £50.82 Well, what can i say ? At least ive tried it and don't think i will go back.
