I had no idea that Mexican food could be so flavourless and bland. Got the proteina grande bowl. Just plain rice, tomato, lettuce, etc with the only flavour coming from the barbacoa and carnitas, which was just salty. I even got medium spicy and could hardly taste any salsa. Save yourself and tenner and chuck some tinned black beans and instant rice in a bowl, you won’t be far off from what this is :/

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Absolutely Incredible! Benito’s food is nothing short of exceptional. Every dish bursts with authentic flavor, prepared with a level of care and passion you can taste from the very first bite. Whether it’s the perfectly seasoned meats, the fresh ingredients, or the mouthwatering sauces, Benito consistently delivers food that feels both comforting and unforgettable. And then there’s Samer — the heart of the experience. Samer’s warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine kindness make every visit feel special. He treats guests like family and brings an energy that elevates the entire atmosphere. It’s rare to find someone who can make great food even better simply by the way he cares for the people enjoying it. Together, Benito’s incredible cooking and Samer’s outstanding service create a dining experience that stands out in every possible way. Highly recommended!

I am shocked and disappointed after my recent visit (5th April'25) to Benito's near closing time. I ordered two burritos, and as we were leaving, we noticed something moving in the kitchen. To our horror, we saw multiple rats scurrying around near the food prep area. We managed to capture it on video and reported it to security, who casually responded, “Yeah, we’ve put traps down,” as if this was a normal situation. This is absolutely unacceptable from a food hygiene perspective. If rodents are present in the kitchen after hours, I can’t help but wonder what is happening during peak times. I sincerely hope that the management and food safety authorities take immediate action because no one should be eating here until this issue is resolved. While the food was excellent and the staff were sweet and helpful, management must address the hygiene situation and empower staff to manage the rodent problem immediately.

Located in the food court on the lower ground floor this is a very popular Taco restaurant. The food quality is decent and fairly generous in size. At lunch time there is a deal for a set with a drink and tortillas. There’s plenty of seating to enjoy your food but it does feel a bit crowded due to having no proper queuing system. The negative experience for me was the getting to check out. Even I paid for the lunchtime meal the clerk didn’t offer me my drink and I even had to ask for the tortillas. On top of that the wrap was just dumped in the counter.. it couldn’t have been that hard just to put it on a tray with a drink and the tortillas I paid for?

Good burritos served here for a reasonable price - great for a quick lunchtime scran. Quite the 'canteen' like atmosphere but this is to be expected as this is the food court area of Westgate. Atmosphere could, however, be improved. Lady who served me was very nice. Lots of options to customise your burrito and mostly for no additional cost - highly recommend the slow cooked options. Thoroughly enjoyed their slow cooked pork burrito. Similar to Mission Burrito but not better. Good wheelchair accessibility as this is on the ground floor of Westgate. Bathrooms also accessible.

A really lovely Mexican food place! The burrito was absolutely delicious and very filling! Also, the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend for a quick lunch stop!

£23 for 6 cold tacos with the structural integrity of tissue paper and even less taste - which is surprising given the metric tonne of salt used. To top it off the cheese used is the cheap, powdery stuff that doesn't melt. My girlfriend could only stomach one of her three it was that bad. One star for the bottled sodas though.

Benito's is a fast food eatery where they make your burrito or whatever you are after in the queue before you pay for it. Portions are huge and if you go for the meal deal you pay £9.95 for a burrito, tacos and a cold drink. Plenty of places in vicinity to sit and eat. Great quality and value for money!
