   Really incredible sushi. It is an entire experience not just a food. I don't think I've tried sushi better anywhere else in the UK, and that says a lot for this as the price is very affordable. The Nigiri set is just £14 and has so much variety, way better than high street alternatives of course. The service is fast and worth the wait in the queue outside. The people kind and hospitable.

   I try and eat here every time I’m in Oxford as I grew up in Japan and love their simple but fresh home cooked food and fresh ingredients. The menus have few dishes but they concentrate on quality. It’s very popular and there are often lines outside this small restaurant. But turn around is quick—this is not an establishment to linger. Mind the unusual opening times: lunch menu - everyday except Monday and Tuesday sushi night menu - Thursday early evenings dinner menu - Fri / Sat early evenings They have meat, fish and vegetable based dishes to choose from. Their Agadashi Tofu is to die for if you come for dinner on the weekend. Prices are modest. This is not a fancy place, so it will suit students. I paid under £13 including a 10% service charge for a vegetarian lunch with tea. Super kind and friendly staff.

   After seeing some of their Yelp reviews, I decided to have lunch at this restaurant during a day trip to Oxford. I could not have made a better choice. My mom ordered the salmon teri. The quality of the salmon was exceptional, and the teriyaki sauce was far from standard--in fact, I think it's the best I've ever tasted. I also thought that the texture of the noodles in the chicken yakisoba I ordered was particularly good. We enjoyed our lunch here so much that we decided to return for dinner. At dinner, the waitress recommended the bata horenso (baby spinach pan-fried in butter and Japanese seasoning), so we decided to give it a try. The sauce was incredibly fragrant and unusual--spinach has never tasted better! The tofu steak (in soy sauce, with radishes and leeks) was another highlight of the meal. We're already looking forward to coming back and sampling more of the menu.
