   PATHETIC CHEF WHO CAN’T EVEN COOK STEAK Came here and ordered a medium level doness steak. It came out raw still in the middle so I asked the waitress to take it back. She came back with a steak that was cooked to well-done so I asked the waitress once again to take it back. This time when the waitress had entered the kitchen and told the chef, he was screaming and shouting; the whole dining room is now aware of the baby tantrum that is of the chef’s screaming. The waitress returned to me, apologised for the previous two mistakes and presented me with a new steak. I cut it open, it was once again raw still in the middle (photos). I stopped eating at that point and asked for the bill and left. I cannot for the life of me fathom how could somebody who only knows nothing about steak get paid to cook. It’s the first easiest dish one can learn to feed oneself once one has moved out of their parent’s home. Zero out of one hundred. Never return.

   My favorite thing about it this place is it’s service, you can meet very nice people there. The time I visited they are not quite busy. I also like their food, which doesn’t cost too much but is of high quality.

   Disappointed. Your staff were absolutely lovely but obviously very busy that night.. no complaints with your lovely staff.. But food, I was disappointed with. The tomato salad had very little dressing. The green salad had no avocado. At £5.50 a side.. I was most disappointed. I was not offered‘endless frites’, and the bowl containing the frites was whipped away. We were asked if we wanted ‘more bread’, but we weren’t offered bread in the first place. This was rectified. The restaurant was busy and I suspect you were understaffed. Lastly, it was my 60th birthday. I stated this when booking online. When I came last year on my birthday, your food was wonderful and we were offered complimentary wine, just a glass each. Personal touches like this is why I came again this year. Why I recommend your restaurants to people and why I’m always pleased to see one of your chain on holiday. Sadly, not again. I will not be able to recreate my 60th again, but when I want to feel special, I won’t be coming back to you. (Edit) Côte reached out to me after this review. They very generously gave me a £60 credit voucher as it was my 60th birthday. Thank you for that.. it was unexpected. As previously stated.. the staff are really lovely. Thank you.

   The food was lovely if a bit small in portion size. They have lost stars because they couldn’t accommodate a simple request to substitute cabbage for broccoli in my meal! There was a large party next to us who were very noisy so we asked to be moved which they allowed us. They do give Blue Light Card discount which is good.

   The food was delicious. I ordered the rib eye and had the caramel creme for dessert which was incredible! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had “Sam” serve us and he was such a delight. 10/10 throughout

   This is a very conveniently located restaurant midway down George Street in the centre of the city. The staff are very welcoming and professional in the way that they initially greet and then deal with their customers. We were given enough time to make our choices without feeling hurried, whilst at the same time without feeling forgotten. The menu provides a good variety of dishes for starter, mains and sweets. The choice of wine is reasonable. Our waitress was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. When our food arrived, it was properly cooked and presented and hot. It was very tasty. This is not a cheap place to eat, but you get what you pay for. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Recommended.

   The food here was exceptional! The service was always very prompt and the food arrived quite quickly. The dessert only took slightly longer to arrive, but the staff apologized heavily for the delay anyway; they clearly hold themselves to very high standards. I forgot the photograph the sharing plate of appetizers we got, which is a shame considering the lovely presentation of the sharing plate. It had camembert cheese, salami, prosciutto, tomatoes, olives, and pickles, and was certainly my favorite part of our visit. The potato dauphinoise was creamy and soft and the ribeye steak wonderfully tender. They had run out of some other steak options, including the fillet noir which I'd hoped to get, but the ribeye was a good substitute. I'd recommend coming early, before popular dishes run out.
