This remains a firm favourite as a warm-welcome, friendly village pub with a great atmosphere, lovely food and a good range of beers. Once visited you'll want to return. Separate dining restaurant, eat in the cosy bar or just enjoy a drink in convivial surroundings. Highly recommended

Located in a pretty village location The Malt is an excellent pub and restaurant. We visited at the end of last week after having booked a table for a meal there. On entering, the pub is attractively set out decor wise, and gives a cosy and welcoming look and feel, We were welcomed very pleasantly by the lady running the main bar. She even took the time and trouble to take us through herself to the eating area and ensure that we had all the information we needed to order. It’s also good to find a pub where you can order at the table rather than have to keep going up to the bar to do so The food was excellent overall and represented fair value for money. All the other staff we encountered after the first lady were equally pleasant and attentive. If you are driving to the pub, there is a small car park with probably around five or six spaces, but there is plenty of on the street parking nearby also. Overall, a great experience, and one that I think will be repeated by us at some point in the future. Five stars for The Malt from me.
Wonderful traditional pi on the green. We visited today and found it was hosting part of the village fete. The pub was busy and lively. In the garden there was good live music. The limited menu for the event was tasty and very good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Delightful friendly staff and atmosphere. We were made welcome with our Golden Retriever Bertie. Good ale and honest food, good selection on the specials board. Recommended for a good night.
Been enjoying take aways over lockdown, absolutely amazing food every time, comes so well packaged and presented too, it is well worth it. And actually great value for money. Looking forward to when they reopen so that we can visit properly!
