We had a truly awful experience. My mum had to take the day off from work , and take my sister out of school whilst battling with the chaotic tube strikes on our journey there. When we got there we ended up having to call the manager as we had waited over 30mins just for the lady to come to the booth (which was opposite the exit of the building). In the end, when she did come to the booth, she was frustrated from the beginning and did not want to help us at all. She was sarcastic, rude and took no consideration into the fact that we have been trying to get this appointment for over a year now. My mum (who is fully polish) and I felt insulted as we would’ve thought our own people would be more willing to help us. We walked away feeling let down, disheartened and disrespected.

Charged my son who was between his A level and University transition full amount payment for passport application. His aim was to charge the full price! Not willing to look at UCAS status to confirm that he is a student. Very bad experience.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Dealing with the Polish embassy was like stepping into a bureaucratic time warp where logic, efficiency, and basic human decency go to die. First off, the phone system seems to be run by ghosts — no one ever answers. I started to think the entire embassy was a myth. The staff? About as welcoming as a wet slap. Curt, unhelpful, and allergic to eye contact or smiling. I asked a simple question and was treated like I had insulted their entire lineage. I wasn’t expecting red carpet treatment, but maybe something above Soviet-era customer service? Appointments were impossible to book. The online system was clearly designed as a test of patience and willpower. In conclusion: If you're hoping for help, clarity, or basic professionalism, look elsewhere. This place made the DMV look like a luxury spa.

When are you going to fix online system! I need my passport renewed ASAP! It expired in December I been trying for ages! I live in Devon so London is closest. I might be changing job soon as we might have to move. Without passport I can't confirm my identy to get a job! I'm also going for holiday in summer. Trying to find appointment date is impossible! Only dates available are showing in Ireland and I can't just drop everything to go to Ireland next day. I have a child!

Absolute nightmare. If you're lucky enough to get an appointment, which often takes several months, the waiting time is terrible. It's a pain getting to the embassy if you live far from London. You wait at the embassy for ages to get called up (depending on the time of day you're there) and service is just unbelievable. Such strict rules and regulations. I've been struggling to get my daughter a passport for almost a year. First we needed a specific name on the letter, then they said her surname was wrong, which it wasn't! The exact same written as it was on the last passport. Unbelievable, so much time and money wasted.

The pleasant sounding young woman's voice message encourages you to think you are in good hands. Haha! From then on, it is unfortunately downhill.... No matter which 'option' you choose, good luck trying to get anyone to answer. After reading a few other reviews, my experience is clearly not isolated. Does anyone at the Embassy read the reviews? Apparently not as there is no "Apologies for the poor service... we are looking into this... we are retraining our staff". Perhaps this dates back to when Poland was under communist rule and there was no such thing as a 'service industry'. It is 2023! Time to move on!

Lovely building in extremely central location. Worth visiting should you ever get an invite. Photos are of Her Majesty's carriage bringing a newly appointed Polish Ambassador after his visit to the Queen to present Letters of Credence.
