Great service and hotel Only thing for me, I didn’t sleep that well, mattress was too hard for me. Also found the walls very thin and could hear people talking in the corridor and, walking about.

Pretty basic, but good enough. A smell of pee throughout the hotel wasn’t very nice, though. Although dog-friendly, our room was on the first floor as far away as you could get from the entrance. Luckily, he didn’t need an emergency night-time outdoor visit!

The hotel was clean and very reasonably priced. It’s right by a Miller and Carter if you need an evening meal and a Starbucks for the morning plus there is plenty of parking and charging points for electric cars

Stayed for one night and glad it wasn't for longer. The corridor leading to our room (no. 19) smelt of school dinners, and the room itself was damp, with a strong musty smell and a cold feel to it. The bathroom door was tatty around the bottom and the bathroom lino felt like it was covering a load of holes in the floor. The receptionist was quick to swap us to another room (no.14) which was a bit better, still had a strange and unpleasant smell but not damp at least. The carpets however were dirty and stained badly in places, and we didn't feel comfortable walking in bare feet. The travel lodge is located right beside the railway line with frequent trains passing so lots of noise if the window is open, but not noticeable when closed. The saving grace was that the bed was comfy and clean, but I certainly wouldn't stay there again, not worth £60 for the night.

This is my goto hotel for when in the area. I've always found the rooms to be spotlessly clean, refreshed and relatively quiet. As with most hotels including other chains not far away, i find a first floor bedroom means you dont have to listen to the creaking floors above you when your a light sleeper like me! barr that carpark safe, and conveniently next to shell and starbucks, happy days!

Nice rooms and friendly staff members... Cemon on reception was exceptionally helpful.

Rooms quite shabby, bedding was really poor. We didn't arrive until almost midnight and stayed for just 1 night so didn't complain, very convenient location for the train to London

There are two categories of Travelodge: good and needs to be knocked down and rebuilt from scratch. Sadly, this hotel is in the later of the two. I stayed for three nights and my room wasn’t cleaned during my stay. The furnishings are a little bit tired, and there is no air conditioning. Not ideal on the hottest day in British history. I was provided with a small desk fan, though I couldn’t use it as there were only two plugs readily available in the room, and I required my devices fully charged for work. Due to a local event, we ended up paying £150 a night for a product that was frankly maybe worth a fifth of that. The reason I gave the hotel two stars and not one was the employees. Every employee that I interacted with was a kind as I’ve come across in a hotel, doing what they can to help, despite the hotel’s dire state. Keep up the good work on that side!

Large space and double bed was comfortable. However it was dirty and in desperate need of refurbishment. The carpet was very old and most parts of the carpet (mainly under the window and by the door) is all bleached. I don’t think they actually have cleaners as I stayed for 4 nights and my room didn’t get cleaned once. I had no 4g my whole stay and you have to pay for the wifi. Wouldn’t stay here again
