   The Ultimate Comfort Experience "Our stay was defined by comfort,starting with what might be the best night's sleep we've had away from home. The mattress and pillows were absolutely perfect—supportive yet cloud-like. We woke up completely refreshed and headed down for breakfast with high hopes. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with their suggested twist: smoked bacon and spinach on toasted artisan bread. It was a revelation! The smoky, crispy bacon and fresh spinach were fantastic upgrades. The hollandaise was luxuriously rich and tangy, and the eggs were poached with expert precision. The combination of world-class comfort upstairs and a truly exceptional breakfast downstairs made this a stay we will be raving about for a long time."

   Warm and welcoming, we had a great weekend stay with friends for Newbury races. Staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms are spacious and comfortable and the food was excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

   My family, friends, and I had a great time. We were staying for a wedding nearby at The Old Mill, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful with everything. The food was fantastic, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Would definitely recommend!

   The recent refurb (Dec 2022) has made an incredible difference - it looks fantastic both inside and out whereas before it was a little tired. So 5* for that. Service is always on point, again 5* there. The food is a bit hit and miss. It's never poor but it's rarely great, so I'm taking 1* off for that. Good pub.
