We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Booking again for next year. The perfect location to enjoy the Christmas festivities in Lyndhurst. Hotel was ideal for our family stay. Travel cot and highchair were provided. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was amazing!

The hotel location was perfect. The staff were attentive. Whilst the bedroom was adequately furnished. We found it to be chilly and tired. The bathroom was quite undesirable as the lino tile floor was uneven and lifting. The extractor in the bathroom was noisy, making a relaxing bath unobtainable.

Excellent staff and comfortable accommodation. Perfect for walkers and dog owners looking to enjoy the outdoors. The hotel sits just opposite the New Forest National Park and is only a short stroll from the centre of Lyndhurst.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and stay at the Ormonde House Hotel. We were there for 2 nights and opted for the breakfast-included option, which was perfect for us: a lovely, spacious and very clean room with an equally spacious bathroom + walk-in shower. In the room you have a detailed welcome book with the menus for the breakfast- which covers all tastebuds: full English, veggie, smaller plates and sweet option. They ask you to let them know your food choices the night before as well as the time of your breakfast, which helps to deliver a smoother service. The breakfast rooms are very nice and welcoming, with the veranda room being allocated for guests with dogs. That’s where we sat with our little Terrier and the facility and the staff in general were very welcoming, attentive and dog friendly. Besides the bar area there is also a lovely outdoor patio and garden where you can sit to read or enjoy a drink. The hotel is on a main road where traffic can be quite considerable at times, as it is literally at the entrance to the village centre of Lyndhurst. That said though, opposite the hotel you can enter a small woodland area and have already access to some spectacular views of moors covered in heather (now in August) , wonderful walks and plenty of free roaming horses. All of these features really worked for us and matched what we were looking for in our short stay in this beautiful region of the South West.

One night stay, with evening meal. The Hotel has ample parking, lovely character building, little extra touches, like brass hanging light fixtures, and attractive stand-alone lights. The garden is very pretty, we had Room 10, garden view, a bit of road noise, but didn't notice this in the night. Modern bathroom, with bath & shower above, a bit of trouble with the plug hole! Very suitable for dog owners, we felt left out, as we don't own a dog! They were extremely well behaved & quiet. Our evening meal was delicious, I chose Salmon with a creamy sauce of tarragon, accompanied with a shared portion of freshly cooked vegetables (broccoli, carrot & cauliflower) plus a separate dish of amazing saute potatoes. My husband chose the Pork Belly in a cider sauce, the meat was really tender, the crackling lovely and crunchy. Breakfast was served in the conservatory, you can have a choice of traditional, or vegetarian or smoked haddock. You order the evening meal in advance, so it's freshly cooked, the same with breakfast. We are hoping to visit again soon. (Room 10 is right up in the eaves, the 2 flights of stairs are steep & close together, so anyone with mobility issues may struggle)

Brilliant location for visiting New Forest. Well kept front of house- parking and garden- shame it poured the whole time we were here or would have been lovely to sit out front despite being on a busy road. We stayed for 3 nights in one of the deluxe rooms for a bath and larger bed. Room & bed was a great size , nice to have a sofa and access to Netflix after a long day walking! Bathroom and bedding were very clean, room still clean enough, just few little bits of dust but not impactful. Was good to have breakfast included for ease of stay, but would say it was just average , however was hot and quick, and service from everyone was lovely and friendly without being overbearing. Would be a great choice to stay close to new forest and easy quick walk into Lyndhurst village centre with lots of cafes and places to eat.

Very dog friendly. Stayed here in Feb β€˜23 when our original chosen hotel cancelled at the last minute and I’m so pleased they did as we then found Ormonde House Hotel. Made to feel welcome from the second we arrived. They are very dog friendly and our dog clearly felt very at home as she didn’t want to leave! Our room was clean and comfortable, we had booked the superior room which came with a bonus jacuzzi bath which was lovely to relax in after a 12 mile walk through the new forest. There was also a door in this room that took us straight outside into a corner of the front garden which was perfect for our dogs nighttime and morning wee. We stayed on a half board basis and can highly recommend the Nepalese Curries on the evening menu. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast menu and we chose the full English breakfast and we weren’t disappointed, we were set up for another day of walking in the New Forest. The hotel is on the main road but even with our room near the front of the property we were not disturbed by any noise. It is located about a 5 minute walk from the start of Lyndhurst High Street which is full of tea rooms and pubs. We are so pleased we stayed at Ormonde House Hotel, would 100% recommend it and hope to return again. Thank you for making us (humans and hound!) so welcome.

Returned twice now both in October for wedding anniversary. Fabulously dog friendly. Rooms are clean fully functional with big t.vs and all mod cons on them. Service exceptional always happy and willing to help with anything chatty and welcoming. Added some balloons to our bed to say Happy anniversary which was a very personal touch and greatly received. The dinner here is very nice good sized portions and great service. Breakfast the same can't fault. We will keep returning as its always a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.
