They DON’T answer the phones. I get they’re busy, but I tried 14 times at various hours / days AND STILL THEY DON’T ANSWER. Even the helpful staff in the Bakewell and Leek stores cannot get through to Derby.
Good store, lots of options and helpful staff. We had to take back some things and faff a little bit and they were a big help. That’s what you need really.
Free parking outside. Toilets available inside, including disabled. Easy to find within a retail park. This is a very large store, with a very large equestrian area complete with a test horse. It also has clothes and footwear. Upstairs currently there's a tent , bike and fishing section. Both stairs and lift are available to get to the first floor. I found the staff to be friendly and not pushy. It's definitely a great place to visit.
Visited this store today to buy a decent pair of walking boots and looked forward to checking the selection and getting some advice.... I was to be sadly disappointed no staff visible... no assistance and no advice.... therefore no purchase!! Hey ho - sadly back to Mountain Warehouse it is!!
Dropped by today and this store had some amazing bargains on the sale items. Been waiting to get a stove for the fishing trips and hoping for them to be on offer. So when I went in today to see the most expensive one for less than the cheapest on a two day sale its now in the bivvy. Great offers, fast service, clean store and helpful staff when I asked a question about the gas regulator for the stove. Many thanks Mcl inflatables
Huge stock, I found three items I really liked however none had a price so I took photos of the labels and ordered from elsewhere online. Two tier pricing, no thanks. Won't be returning.
A Fantastic Out Door activity Shop covering every pursuit possible and every make possible. The Staff are friendly and helpful with bags of Knowledge and we would recommend this shop to anyone
We have just collected a canoe from the Derby store that we reserved online. When the item was presented to us at the till it was showing a price of £309.00. The reserved price online is £330. The box was very old and tatty, it had obviously been opened before and in stock for a long time. We were charged £330, so I asked to speak to the Manager. A guy called Arron arrived and told us that the price on the box was a very old price and he wasn't prepared to sell it to us for that. He offered us a display /opened canoe which we didn't want for obvious reasons as they are inflatable and it could of been damaged. We are extremely disappointed with the product and the service, but we have driven a fair way to collect it and want to use the canoe over the next few days. We have had great service in the past from Go Outdoors, this has really disappointed us. Our advise to others looking to reserve and travel for expensive items. Don't! Update: We were in our local Go Outdoors in Preston looking for shorts and mentioned our problem to the Manager Scott and his Assistant Manager Ashleigh. The difference in attitude and willingness to help was astonishing. He was appalled at what had happened offered to refund the difference there and then. We are very happy with Go Outdoors, maybe avoid Derby when Arron is working.
