Don’t order sides! Ordered scrambled egg & toast and opted to add two sides on - like the omelette and toast that suggests add two sides on at 50p each. Well we ordered a bacon & mushroom side each to go with our scrambled eggs. One bowl of two mushrooms arrived £2.49 each (so £5 for two small cup mushrooms), and two pieces of extremely fatty bacon in a bowl at £1.99 per slice so £4 bacon. We queried this as being one serving/ order and not a double portion sharing bowls. The young, pleasant server went to double check after we showed him our bill and confirmed each bowl had two portions in. Not only were the sides exorbitant (easily mixed up with the omelette sides prices), but the cost is ridiculous! Then the tea and coffee empty cups / pot were left on the tiny table, as was the menu when the food was delivered. Basics in staff training? We have eaten here for years and had many family meals / celebrations at the Waterfront Cafe… well there are plenty of other local places to enjoy- thankfully.

Unfortunately the last time I went I asked a waiter how to order, without smiling he just barked "inside"! When I put my reg no into the screen on the counter it was absolutely filthy, covered in grease and finger prints. I ordered some Parmasan fries, and my friend some cake. The fries arrived and were luke warm with one small piece of Parmasan, she said the cake was waiting on the counter. I sent the fries back. Around 4 minutes later, the cake arrived. My fries arrived and at least they were warm and had cheese on! Attached is a photo of the Parmasan fries with no Parmasan.

Was in the area, searched for local burgers. This café came up with good ratings. Parking took some patience but walked in and after a friendly greeting there were plenty of tables on the lovely patio overlooking the river and marina. Good inexpensive draught Brooklyn IPA. Ordered at the bar and food was brought out. There were no pickles available for the burger and the only mustard is English. The double burger had a good bun and construction but not much lubrication apart from mayo. I know some say cheese does that but I disagree; makes it cloying. Good enough fries, well seasoned. The burgers themselves were juicy and tasty, if not shouting “BEEF!”. They come from a local butcher in Goring which after checking, uses chuck. After a little issue which management handled really well, I left satisfied and my burger craving satisfied. Not expensive, friendly servers and beautiful location. Definitely earned the high Google score.

Lovely food this afternoon, I had the Lamb Shank, which came to me piping hot, with lots of vegetables & piping hot minty gravy. It was delicious and the hottest meal I’ve had in a very long while .. well done team. Hubby had a burger & chips and his was tasty, and again served piping hot. The main meal came after a little wait which was fine. The drinks came quickly & the only concern was the wait for our dessert, which the one waitress who was serving everyone with food, brought to us as quickly as she could. She was rushed off her feet & She didn’t stop, but was very efficient and had a smile even though she was so busy. I really admired her. The wait for our dessert was a bit unfortunate and unnecessary, but it was delicious. I think they needed another waiter / waitress as one was not enough for the amount of people there today. The main problem was with the state of the restroom / toilets… that seriously needs addressing asap. We’ll definitely return though as the food is always delicious & fresh & piping hot, & we’d recommend it to anyone too. Lovely setting by the river.

Been quite a few times and always sit outside, nice food, lovely views especially in spring/summer. Parking is a nightmare, very limited! Service is usually great though last time we were left waiting 3-4 minutes before eventually seating ourselves, despite there appearing to be staff floating around cleaning tables, and it was relatively quiet. Overall a good place, great to sit outside in summer and watch the river and boats go by. Good burgers and chips too.

We are sat outside and enjoyed a hot chocolate which was really very nice. There are posters everywhere which say 'one way' like a left over from COVID which was very confusing. But the setting is nice overlooking the river although Le Boats get in the way somewhat.

I don’t know what all the hype is about , deadest breakfast I’ve ever had. They take orders for things when they don’t even have it, ordered upper deck breakfast too add toast was an extra £3. Charging £3 plus for soft drinks, The bacon looked and tasted like it was microwaved with white gunk on it. Waitress had a 1 meter walk too deliver breakfast and dropped a sausage on route. Coffee is bland , and the cake we ordered didn’t even have but gave us a terrible replacement. Awful ,could of made better at home and will never return. Absolute shambles run by kids and overpriced.

Well I've been visiting the Waterfront for many years and this time I was for the first time disappointed. My wife did not enjoy the lemon cake. I tried it and agreed it was crumbly rather than spongy. The cinnamon bun was doughy and I left half of it. I give this feedback in the hope it's taken on board rather than seen as criticism so the proprietor can up his game to reflect his high quality of food as per the past. I'm not commenting on the service as the cafe was packed as seen in the photo. After all it's a great venue by the river.

Beautiful liocation next to the river and well laid out/managed arrival. I had a goats cheese tart, qhich was well presented an tasty. My son had eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise but the eggs were not runny. We ordered cakes and they had a good variety including an amazing gluten free and dairy free lemon one. I picked coffee which looked good but was very dry. So overall a mixed experience!!
