Perfect for a lunch stop if you're walking along the river from Henley to Hambleden (both sides of the river). Since we visited in Nov end, we had the opportunity to select from the festive menu. They had a lovely pumpkin orzo risotto which I had. I could have probably eaten another course because I was still a bit peckish after that. Great outdoor space too for visiting in summer.

Amazing lunch today. Perfectly cooked venison and bavette steak. The apple and rhubarb crumble was sublime. The best we’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked rhubarb and crunchy crumble with quality ice cream. We will be back

Nineteen years ago, we held our wedding reception here, so returned on our anniversary for the night. The Inn has been updated sympathetically, and really enhanced. The room was quirky and well appointed, and the staff couldn't have been any better. Utterly friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. Supper was delicious, the chap making the cocktails was a delight, and breakfast was spot-on. We won't be leaving it nineteen years till the next visit.

Fabulous English Country side B&B We stayed here one night in July and really enjoyed it. We actually stayed in the oak cottage and it was really nice. Very large and had a kitchen too. What we liked the most about this place is that it somehow pull you back in time and you feel like you are living in another historical period, without having to give up on recent amenities. Overall we had a great stay and really enjoyed it. We also used the restaurant and it was fine.

We didn't stay at the Hotel, and so I rated the rooms on the same basis as my overall rating. The service here is very good and the food excellent. It is a great place to stop off for lunch after doing a circular walk in the area, of which there are many. The car park is free for customers but only for 2 hours and you need to pop into the hotel. We just paid Β£4.00 for 6 hours parking to cover our walk and lunch.

I had dinner there a few weeks ago with a friend. He had the fish and chips and I had the pheasant both were cooked to perfection. Really quiet as it was an early meal but great setting and friendly staff. Have been in the summer on numerous occasions and have always managed to find a seat in the garden area as the pub is off the beaten track.

We didn’t eat anything to comment on the food, but the table near us was having fish and chips which looked really good. The coffee we had was great, very friendly staff nice atmosphere the garden looked amazing. It looked small on the outside but it’s very spacious inside. I’m definitely going for food there

The staff were very friendly including their lovely spaniel! I only stopped for breakfast. The sausage butty was really nice with excellent quality sausages and grilled roll. Sofa comfy, decor and general ambience - great. The toilets were also stunning. The village is stunning and the area picturesque. I really enjoyed a bike ride the day before.

We were a large group for my sister in laws birthday and the service was AMAZING, the location is utterly beautiful. We stayed here 4 years ago for my brothers 40th and the service and accommodation was brilliant then. The owners are without doubt the nicest and laid back people. Wish we had someone like this closer to us. The staff were attentive and nothing on both occasions were too much trouble. Accommodation was super clean and comfortable ( we had a cottage with 3 couples sharing ) previously stayed in the pub and accommodation within is lovely also. Food was delicious and breakfast was just what we all needed after a tour of the local brewery the day previous. Hoping we can visit again very soon. Thanks so much for the warm hospitality you and your team always greet us with.
