   This was our first time staying here and we attended with our dog in tow. The hotel is lovely, very picturesque both in and out. The rooms could do with a little refresh but are otherwise very nice, our biggest criticism would be that there were no accessible plug sockets except for one around the dressing table. The food and especially the service from the team in the pub was exceptional. We would visit again for the pub alone!

   Our wedding at the Master Builder’s House was at the end of November 2025, and we really can’t praise Lizzie and the team highly enough. Everything about the experience was fantastic, from our first look round and planning meeting to checking out the day after the wedding. The wedding day itself was everything we wanted and just seamless; everything we had planned and discussed with Lizzie and our suppliers on site just happened, without us having to think about anything on the day. Our flowers and decorations were managed by suppliers who know the hotel and team very well (ask Lizzie for Jessie and Emma’s details – they’re both fantastic!), so everything looked incredible. The venue is amazing, in a beautiful location and grounds. It’s intimate and cosy, and we loved having the different areas for our guests to spend time in throughout the day. All the staff – everyone from the reception, bar and kitchen teams to Lizzie who coordinated everything for us – were wonderful. Everything we needed was taken care of with care and attention, and nothing was too much trouble. All the food options we went for were delicious – we’ll be going back for special occasions and working our way through more of the menu! A huge thank you again to Lizzie and the entire team for such a perfect wedding experience :)

   My now wife and I got married at this beautiful venue on October 24th 2025. The day itself was spectacular, and the staff at this hotel did a stella job keeping everything running smoothly, and provided a very high level of service and attention to detail on the day. Throughout the planning period, we felt very well looked after and supported. This venue and service is certainly a very good idea for people looking for more of a package than having to plan every detail of a wedding from scratch. One small gripe. When going through the food options for the wedding breakfast, the package only allows for one choice from each course, giving guests effectively no choice on what they are going to have. To have two or three choices for each course, a certain amount extra per head is added to the total cost. In my mind, this effectively means having to pay extra to simply bring things up to an expected standard, and I seriously think this needs to be scrapped, especially as all of the food options need to be given beforehand, thus not affecting the cost of the total food order. This felt like a cheeky add-on for something that should’ve been already included as basic necessity. Still, this is one very small moan about an otherwise beautiful occasion that was excellently organised, and I can absolutely recommend this venue for couples looking for one of the most stunning places to get married in the New Forest.

   We booked the Master Builders House for our wedding. We were mightily impressed with every aspect of our experience. This beautiful venue, steeped in history, provided a wonderful backdrop for a relaxed and supremely organised day. The wedding breakfast and canapés were of exceptional quality, those with dietary requirements were very well looked after. Food was delivered swiftly to the tables by capable and efficient staff. This is just one of numerous examples where the attention to detail elevated the experience. From transferring the bride to the ceremony room without being seen, to the unexpected gift in our bridal suite, all demonstrated the meticulous thought and planning by Lizzie and the team. The whole experience was a calm, smooth and professional operation.

   We had an absolutely fantastic wedding at the Master Builders House! This one-of-a-kind venue is a real showstopper, and all our guests were blown away by the stunning views. Although the weather the night before meant our ceremony had to be held indoors, it turned out perfectly—creating a warm, intimate atmosphere that felt really special. The food was exceptional (even our Michelin-starred chef guest commented on the quality!), and the whole team managed a seamless turnaround for the evening celebrations, letting us party late into the night. The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible, thanks to the amazing Master Builders team and how smoothly they worked with all our suppliers. Everything ran perfectly, and we honestly couldn’t be happier. A special shoutout to Chris, the venue manager, who was an absolute star from start to finish!

   What can I say, a lovely hotel set in a beautiful location. Nice room, nice staff and really good food. My partner and I spent four nights there on a dinner/bed and breakfast deal which we booked through Secret Escapes. Lots of History there in regards of Shipbuilding in the 17/1800s which you find out about in the wonderful Museum. We also visited the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum which houses loads of beautiful Motorcycles and artefacts owned by Sammy Miller who raced on road,track trials back in the Fifties along side the likes of Geoff Duke. A must place to stay and visit.

   Highly recommended venue with very helpful and attentive staff. The location is stunning in the heart of the New Forest affording great walks and views across the Beaulieu River and historic Bucklers Hard. The car parking is extensive and secure. A great location and thoroughly recommended Hotel providing a leisurely and enjoyable stay. The Restaurant was great providing good quality fare although the menu options could be more extensive. The Rooms were comfortable and warm. The Showers were very good and easy to operate. The Wash Basin was on the small side size-wise. The toiletries provided were of high quality and could be separately purchased. A great venue for a relaxing stay and highly recommended.

   I went here for a workshop with work for the day and the facilities were great and the location is in some stunning surroundings. They provided some pastries and tea and coffee on arrival before starting the workshop. We ordered our meals and at the agreed time found our way to the restaurant section, the seating area was very nice and has some very nice views out the back over the water. The food provided was a set menu for our company however it was made to perfection and delivered on great taste and looks.

   Lovely quiet location to stay with tranquil views across the river Beaulieu as you wander around the site taking in the history of the site that ships that fought in the battle of Trafalgar were built here. Or sit outside the Yachtsman bar watching the changing colours on the landscape as the tide comes in. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. A lovely 2 miles or so walk along the river in to Beaulieu with opportunities en route to view the river and a bird hide too.

   Lovely hotel, all the staff were brilliant. A very historic spot and well worth seeing. Hotel itself is quite and not much besides bar and restaurant once the sun sets. Rooms are pleasant. Probably one of the best showers I've used in any hotel, a huge thanks to whoever placed a water pump in every bathroom. This was a stroke a genius. Very dog friendly. Restaurant has a short menu but all items are good to excellent.
