This hotel is an old building, with a lot of charm and history. Its is in a quiet location. The staff were very attentive.
A lovely stay at the Kingston Theatre Hotel. Ideal location , parking outside the door. Very quiet area. Stayed in a Victorian Suite, very impressed. Breakfast very good. All staff very friendly and welcoming, especially Emma on Reception.
The hotel itself is gorgeous as is the staff, and as beautiful as my room looked and all of the amenities that came with it (cozy robe, slippers, roomy) it just wasn’t a great experience. I noticed upon arrival that the radiators seemed odd, one made weird noises when it was turned on. Additionally I was looking forward to taking a hot bath only to find that the bath water would not get hot. In the middle of the night the radiators were completely non functional and I had to call the front desk who brought me a small space heater…. In the morning they were slightly working again but not well. On top of that, the shower would go between cold and scalding water every 30 seconds. Gorgeous hotel, but my room at least needs some maintenance.
We stayed in the hotel whilst visiting a family member who was in hospital. The room was very clean and cosey and the staff were exceptional! They were always friendly and went out of their way to help us and solve any problems we had, including posting our spare car keys to us after we left them behind. The hotel is close to the town centre without being too close and parking is no problem.
Absolutely faultless stay. Very welcoming, free parking, room spotless. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The room and bed were so comfortable and everything was sparkling clean! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back if staying in Hull again.
Went here for my Christmas meal with work. Great price, delicious food and friendly staff. Despite serving a meal to around 30 of us everything came out together, with veg served to us at the table. Everything was piping hot too. Please don't ever stop doing the pavlova!
My girlfriend stayed here and asked me to leave a review as she doesn’t have a Google account. She was very upset with her stay and was served mouldy bread toast for breakfast (see picture). She complained about the mould on the toast and they just said sorry, but did not reduce her bill. Her other comments about the hotel are as follows: “The internet did not work. It felt cold in the room. The decor is horribly dated. This is never a four star hotel. They served me breakfast with mouldy bread. Foul. I will never stay there again.”
I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Hotel who provided excellent service over the weekend for my brothers sons wedding. The whole event was executed in a professional manner which made the wedding a fabulous occasion. The room, service and food were excellent, I would happily recommend the hotel for anyone staying or holding an event there.
