I live close by, I have eaten here 2 times. For a high price, a medium portion of kebab. And from the salad, it was only cabbage and onions. No more.
Food is amazing but the service is even better, very welcoming and helpful when deciding what it get. Also, very generous portions for a good price
I had a burger here in Portsmouth, and it was absolutely delicious! The place has a really nice atmosphere, and the food was full of flavor. The burger was juicy, perfectly cooked, and very tasty. I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great burger experience!
Staff were very pleasant. HOWEVER, me and all 3 of my friends, who had very ranging orders, all woke up in a pit of vomit, diarrhoea and other bodily fluids. We have collectively spent our last 3 days bed bound, only able to to sip very small amounts of water. I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy. If you want to throw up atleast 90% of your internals, go for a quick meal here!
Just spent the night in daddy’s club hoping for a good kebab. Ended up getting a mix doner wrap to an overly nice worker, to my surprise he was very racist after giving me raw chicken. Read the reviews at home and will report in the morning

Please do not eat here!!! The Gida express Portsmouth I went in here after a night out on Saturday and I asked for an allergy menu. I was told by one member of staff they did not have one and to speak to the manager. I spoke to be manager and was also told by him they did not know about allergies. I went on to explain but your standing under a sign that says to ask about intolerances and allergies and by law you have to know this information. I was told that was not the case and I was just looking for a fight because I was asking this information and I could take a picture of him because he did not care. I was completely shocked by this as yes I had a drink, but I knew what I was doing, saying and acting and could not believe the treatment I received because of asking about allergies. Again I explained it is law to know this information especially as people have died from such reactions and once again I was told they did not need to abide by this and it goes without saying I did not buy anything from there. However, I would not wish for someone to go through the same thing as me, as it was distressing being laughed at by a group of men working there while I had this interaction and also with all the customers watching, even though I knew I was not in the wrong and had the right to ask for an allergy menu/info, so please do not risk any harm to yourselves by eating in here. I will be also contacting the council about this and taking it further.
absolutely abysmal. Shambolic m8. Stale kebab cooked in a toastie, and I dont know how but they failed to cook the chips correctly. How do you fail to cook chips bro? It's not looking good bruv. Need to know your health and safety, felt like I was eating the grill itself. No oil was on it
Best doner kebab I've ever had! Meat was tasty and the salad was very fresh. Many kebabs I've had at other places are often greasy, making the pita soggy - But not here; the food is always of a high standard. I've been going to Gida regularly for the last 6 months and have never been disappointed by the quality of food or friendliness of staff - Highly recommended!
I ordered 3 kebabs. One was right. The second was almost right. The third (mine - typical) completely off. I ordered a chicken shish, lettuce, onion and ketchup. I received a stale pitta & 6 small pieces of chicken, drowned in Garlic mayo... Checked the app - I definitely ordered correctly. I checked bag, receipt says I also ordered correctly. I'll include pictures, as tried to call and rectify - they dont answer. Needless to say, I won't be using again.
