The swim teachers have all been good but the constant price rises (probably twice a year) and now the big increases in class sizes means we are paying a lot more for a lot less. Not sure it's worth it anymore.

I never use the pool but the gym facilities and classes are fine and good value. It does get busy at 6pm with teenagers but I try to avoid this time. I find the staff friendly enough but there is one woman on reception who is very miserable, and have been multiple times when the barriers to get in donโt work. For some reason she thinks the best route is to ignore the 30 people at 6am waiting to get in, whilst she sits there gormlessly behind the front desk when they are malfunctioning (which is unfortunately quite often)

Took my two 4 year old grandsons swimming at Flitwick leisure centre in the under 5's session. The parking us easy, the changing rooms and whole swimming area is exceptionally clean and the two pools available are ideal for the age range. We all had a great time.

Only reason I use this gym is due to being close to where I live - the parking is always atrocious, people leaving their cars there and walking up to the train station as thereโs no cameras yet sometimes when I come I canโt find a space even though Iโm the one paying for the membership. Good gym but not worth the money when most of the machines I need or in general are out of order and thereโs no priority to get them fixed, the bathrooms always have a bad smell so I tend to avoid using them as well as the showers.

I hate this gym and only use it because there are no alternatives nearby. Gym is old and tired, with constant maintenance issues. Toilets reek. Changing room is badly laid out. Free weights area old and too small. Full of school kids milling around from 3:30pm. Donโt say you havenโt been warned.

First impressions count. On the look out to sign up to a new gym and decided to visit this leisure centre as it is conveniently located near home. Walked in and spoke to a lady called Jill at the front desk. I walked in smiled and said good morning (as you do) but was greeted with a blank stare and no response. I then proceeded to ask how she was doing and if she was ok. Her response was โyhโ. I straight away felt unwelcome for whatever reason. Initially I was interested in the โday passโ allowing you to use the gym for 1 day as advertised on the website. As fitness is an important investment for me and I would not want to sign up to a gym membership and regretting it down the line. However I was first told that this is not possible and one could only โseeโ the gym before joining a monthly membership. To which see said most people donโt come at 6am in the morning to try the gym and she wouldnโt be able to show me around anyway as she would need to have another member of staff with her. Upon Jill showing me a list of membership prices and responding to my questions. She eventually asked if I wanted to see the gym. Where she asked another member of staff to show me the gym. This gentleman was OK. Seemed to be apart of the swim staff so he asked another lady working in the gym section to show me around who probably gave me the best experience as she came across as more polite and enthusiastic. Based on my experience/first impression with the staff I would not sign up with this gym. Also being a weightlifting enthusiast, wouldnโt recommend this leisure centre. As the range of weight lifting equipment in comparison to other places is sparse. If you are in to swimming and classes then this maybe for you. However for a little more and slightly further out like Bedford or MK (Fitness First, DL) you can get a much better customer experience and access to a higher quality gym/leisure centre in every department. A no brainier for me. If you can compromise on quality of facilities and staff for convenience than this may be for you.

Unfortunately a lot of people just walk into the changing area and in the swimming pool with outdoor shoes, bringing their dirt inside where adults and children are walking barefoot. Is a good place and the staff is very friendly but enforcing shoes cover or removing the shoes would be great. In France all swimming pools have a small poodle in the pool entrance with product to clean the feet and avoid people walking in with shoes
