“It's definitely one of the good branches. It's on the high street but finding parking wasn't hard. Food quality and taste were excellent. Good value for money. Their Karachi Bun Kebab was one of the best I've tried from their other branches. Only criticism is that the service was very slow. Sunday night, hardly a few customers, but food took ages to come.”

“Great Service, Even for "Just Looking"! We visited our local(ish) DFS today and, although it was quite busy, the team still made time for us—even though we were "just looking". A manager greeted us initially, but once Michelle became available, she took over and we were in excellent hands. Michelle is amazing at what she does - she has a real eye for detail and design. Between her and my wife, they debated colours and styles while I sat back and watched the magic happen! In the end, we found a great 4-seater sofa, an armchair, and a pouffe. What started as a casual browse turned into us walking away with a finance deal (pay in 4 years) that probably costs me less per month than I usually spend on random stuff in Home Bargains! The only downside is that the finance site was down when we got home, which made things a bit stressful, but the in-store process itself was smooth and straightforward. Massive shoutout to Michelle—she really made the experience enjoyable and stress-free. Thanks again!”

“Over christmas 2025 my boiler stopped working. Gastek came out, diagnosed the issue. It was time for the boiler to go into permanent retirement, they just couldn't go on any longer. Wasn't really ready for that scenario, but had to respect their wishes and that it was time to say goodbye old friend you served us well. A replacement was sourced through gastek (bearing in mind this is the christmas shut down period) and within 2 days we had a new boiler installed by the gastek engineers. Just in time for the minus temperatures that hit us new years eve 2025. Gastek do take care of you. No matter what time of year it happens to be.”

“I go here occasionally , I went here for scrambled egg on toast, my meal was perfect. I asked for plenty of butter , I got exactly what I asked for. I would recommend going here for a take away or an eat in meal. I've had take aways before. Fridah makes great sandwiches and the prices are great too , it's inexpensive. Fridayh will accommodate what ever you ask her for , I asked for a toasted club sandwich in the past which Fridah hadn't made before , she did it perfectly for me .Its a clean cafe , You can park outside . They are always welcoming.”

“This is a brilliant lock and door ironmongery store. When my lock broke on my upvc door as the hadn't got the actual lock in stock they lent me a temporary lock until the correct lock was delivered .. they also mended part of the latch mechanism free of charge which had come adrift. Brilliant service.”

“Been a few times and the breakfast has been 10/10 every time! Customer service is amazing and the shop itself has a very homely feel to it. I got the full english with a karak chaii and I feel like its definitely worth the price. The store itself is not that big but they have used the space very well for the seating. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot I 100% recommend this place!”

“Attended a private function at the Gongoozler and had a fabulous time. Really friendly and hard working staff. The buffet put on was great and the drinks service was good. Nice selection of local ales available. Really lovely location on the canal edge overlooking the BCLM. Wheelchair accessible as a 96 year old relative had no trouble accessing the venue in her wheelchair. Plenty of parking with an honesty box for donations.”

We were a party of 25, but the quality of both the curries and Xmas dinners were absolutely spot on and nothing was too much trouble. Unbeatable value. “Restaurant is now called Amed. Went with family, food exceded expectations. Nice, clean restaurant with separate family side. Lovely staff. We tried many dishes: lamb quzi, dolma, sea bass, shawarma, chicken tikka, chicken shish, chicken wings, beans, okra rice and lots of salad. Favourite dish was the dolma. Beans are delicious too. Very generous portion sizes and fantastic value. Chicken wings and sea bass were a bit too lemony for our taste. 5/5.”

“The staff are always polite and welcoming food always on point and consistently full of flavor, you can tell there isn't different different people cooking. Ordered take away and they went above and beyond, the portion sizes are excellent always some left over to go back and eat later lol. Have also sat in to eat and the atmosphere is chilled and relaxed but professional. Eating area always clean and tidy. Highly recommend this place.”
