“Amazing school and friendly staff”
“Friendly staff. Good teachers. Prayer room available”
“Conducive for learning and capacity development!”
“John Hurlston, my 6th great grandfather was baptized her in 1692. Tanworth in Arden (Warwickshire) church baptism record dated 17 Nov 1692 for John Hurlestone, son of Thomas Hurlestone.”
“It's a special place to learn English and improve your skills. They have positive atmosphere, professional techniques and a excelent staff. Just go there. You will not regret!”
“I'm currently a student in my 3rd and final year here. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster in truth at time's as I'm actually a part of the first year group that started this university up. Meaning I've had a fair share of ups and downs during the time this place has slowly chiseled at the fundamentals. Although there is still room for improvements, the staff are lovely and understanding. The building is simple but has all of the resources any new upcoming film maker requires. There's a good variety off equipment that has helped me create multiple projects that I couldn't have made if I just made film on my own at home. In one hand I wish the assignments were more challenging, whereas in the other hand I'm glad they were easy enough to allow me more time to focus on making content. I will miss this place when I leave as compared to 'the real world ' making films here has been a luxury.”
“Amazing experience for studying here as a mature student and working as well. If anyone has missed a chance when young and wants to experience a university life, this is the place to come and experience it.”
“Becoming a UoBS student opens up a young persons path in the most incredible way, with the support, expertise and community that UoBS has to offer you really can achieve anything. During my two years of sixth form I engaged with many of these opportunities for example chances to network and familiarise myself in environments that I aspire to find myself in post education, including visits to organisations in Birmingham and London as well as a variety of events and talks at the university; an example the Women in Finance conference. I also had the pleasure of attending a lunch at the House of Lords as a representative of the school. These sorts of experiences are what taking learning beyond the classroom is all about and not the kinds of things accessible to just any organisation. I will be forever grateful to the incredibly dedicated staff who have the most inspiring dedication to not only their subject/ job but for the wellbeing and success of every individual student. Nothing was ever too ambitious and every student is encouraged to go above and beyond; nothing was ever to big an ask. The University of Birmingham School has impacted my life in so many ways, not only by academic achievement and guidance for life/ further education but by helping me shape my character into one that can tackle any situation that faces me.”

“Out of all of the schools I went to this is the best one so far. The staff is nice and there are many incredible teachers. Over the years the teachers in this school just keep on improving, when I first joined this school there were a couple of teachers who I would complain about but now I'm incredibly glad because I have so many helpful teachers. In the past 2/3 years I managed to pull my grades up by an incredible amount. Before I was failing all of my subjects and almost got expelled, but nowadays I'm doing better in science, Re, history as well as many other subjects (not English but I bet you can tell that from my grammar) and I also don't have to worry about getting expelled. I'm now in my final year of secondary school and although this is going to be a stressful period for me as well as many of my classmates I still feel like with the help that we are all getting from all of the teachers, we can do way better than just pass our exams. Some of my classmates are already doing way better than anyone every expected them to.”
“Excellent! After the parents evening, I could genuinely feel that the teachers want the children to achieve and go forward. My son will be lucky to be taught by people that want him to succed.”
“Amazing college, helpful staff and teachers who can actually teach. By far the best college for vocational courses. I can't recommend the ELECTRICAL Department enough absolutely FANTASTIC.”
“Despite all of the disruption after three years and after a change of the principle, I believe the school teachers have supported the students very incredibly and I also believe in 3 - 4 years this school would be a better school, as the students in year 7 are not only well behaved a mature I believe they are also very smart. I have a huge level of faith towards the students in year 7. I went into a few of their lessons this year - with permission to be there and their behavior was better then the years above them. In addition, I also recognized how they are study topics that only the year 11`s are doing - eg past exam questions and A level topics and they all seem like it`s easy. I know I recently made a negative comment about the school, but as a very experienced year 11 - I know this school will improve, thanks to long-term staff members. I don`t think the school staff members are racist, judgemental or as people like to call it 'mean'. I think people shouldn`t try to judge the school for it`s past exam results, it`s about the present and the future which is still yet to come. I believe who we are, our morals and what we become is more important then our grades - people shouldn`t keep trying to discriminate this school, the positive side is the fact it has became stronger from its fall and it has not been closed down for any activity. Someone below commented on the fact that you don`t come out with any GCSE`s, well despite us year 11`s not actually knowing some of our results - I know two of mine, which are BTEC`s, one is an Distinction* and the other is just a pass, but that one you can only get a pass or fail. Also I personally admire people who work as a bin man or at McDonalds, as they are actually probably in desperation for money, but some actually enjoy it. Plus they are earning money for themselves or even their family, if you`re teenager judging and trying to justify that people who work in MD are poor and have low morals, then you are in the wrong, as you have traits of people with low morals, as they always judge people and think they`re better than others. Without bin men, who would decompose our plastics and rubbish? In McDonalds the workers are coping with a lot of stress to cook the food and serve it - don`t make fun out of the place - as the earning money then you would earn in three years, plus you should bare in mind you probably shop there for an odd luxury. In today`s society people complain too much and judge too much, how about you try to get on with each other, that`s how you would make this world, this country and this society become a better place. Most of us in today`s society have goals, desires, knowledge and power no one else has, we should use is while we still can, make a difference, help someone, save someone, it`s nice to be nice... The thing that makes this school better than Great Barr, or a grammar school or any other school, is that we`re all different. In year 11 a lot of the students will bond together realizing it`s an very important time of the year. The fact that year 7`s can bond and at least someone can bond with someone, demonstrates a lot about the unique people in this school. I wish the new Year 11`s well, work hard, revise hard and play hard. Good Luck with your exams!”

“High standard quality education, professional lecturers, well equipped.”
“I’ve had an amazing experience on the hairdressing courses at SCCB! The tutors & technicians are fantastic—so knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. They really take the time to help each student develop their skills and build confidence. The hands-on training in the salon is excellent, and I’ve learned so much from their real industry experience. If you’re looking for a great place to study hairdressing at Level 2 or Level 3, I recommend SCCB!””

“Thanks for your efforts! I am pleased to be part of this University. When I was in my home country, I read reviews here and I must admit that I was really doubtful about this institution. But since I came here, I am really happy and grateful for your efforts to provide the best for your students. Thank you. All the best,”
“This is a fantastic school in the heart of a challenging area. My son really likes being here. The staff are good too.”
“Ive been unfortunate enough to have to talk to child protection a few times. Theyve always been ABSOLUTELY LOVELY. I cannot say this about those that made allegations, but the social workers applied common sense and empathy. If youre not abusing your kids, these guys will be on your side all day.”
“As a student learning piano with Ryan I’d have to say he’s both supportive with my progressive and is a fantastic teacher. I love learning the piano and he’s made it such a fun experience. Would definitely recommend!”
“I recently visited Anita Aheer Massage Therapies , and the experience was excellent. She was highly professional, knowledgeable, and really took the time to understand my specific pain areas. The massage was targeted, effective, and I felt a noticeable improvement right after the session.
