“The Halifax Playhouse is a lovely theatre with lots of charm and heritage behind it. The staff are very welcoming and seats are very comfortable. It's also nice visiting a theatre that allows you to get so close to the actors on stage. It's an intimate venue that we can't wait to see more plays at in the future!”
“5 stars for the staff. We were standing at a concert when my daughter started to feel faint. We went to the lobby for air and the staff immediately came over to ask if they could help. They arranged some seats for us so she could still watch the band which was a very generous and caring act. Many thanks !”
“From an individual cinema point of view, The Vue in Halifax is a cracking place with very friendly and helpful staff. As with most multiplexes each individual "room" varies in size/capacity but all have a great feel to them, nice comfy seats even in the "supersaver" area, good visibility no matter where you sit, and absolutely amazing sound all at some of the cheapest ticket prices you'll find. A very good cinema indeed. From a company point of view however, their website is pathetic. I've spent many days on many occasions over the years trying to book tickets for different films to either give up and just turn up on the day and take what's left, or simply just give up and stop in!! They know it's pathetic, but blatantly choose to ignore the problem.”
“Great little theatre. Watched a few things there. Most recently Blackadder, which was the best thing I've seen in a not pro theatre for years. Every actor, the costumes and set where excellent and what an amazing ending. Took a while to realise the lads (and Bob) weren't coming back from over the top. Well done.”
“Love the local volunteer run theatre and being a part of it for most of my life has been fantastic. From being in the shows on stage to helping build sets, run backstage or sell sweets front of house there’s something for everyone to do if wanted. Or just come along and enjoy the productions as a member of the public. That’s a very important job too! A wonderfully historic building that holds the community spirit of todmorden at its heart.”
“I recently had the pleasure of working with HX Cinematography and I can't recommend them enough! From the very beginning, their professionalism was evident. They took the time to understand my vision and brought it to life beautifully. The creativity in their shots was impressive, capturing moments that I will cherish forever. The quality of the photos and videos exceeded my expectations, with stunning clarity and composition. They were also very easy to work with, making the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. If you're looking for someone who is talented, reliable, and dedicated to their craft, look no further . I’m so grateful for the incredible work they did!”
“From booking the Panto,, to getting a shoutout for the family, proximity for parking, accessibility to toilets/bar/food it was simple! Then the Panto itself: It was just FABULOUS! The cast BRILLIANT! The kids loved the fact they could join in - the ‘stage’ so near it felt like a family performance. Thank you so very much everyone involved, including Kat who helped sort out a last minute additional booking! We will be definitely back next year!”
“A wonderful place to rehearse and see amateur theatre and rent for private functions. Beautiful space, cheap bar, keep an eye out for things there”
“Saw Northern Broadsides perform Quality Street at Richmond Theatre last night and what a fabulous evening it was! The play was very engaging throughout and performed by an extremely talented and versatile cast. We loved the humour, the plot and the production. I feel like I would like to see it again, it was so good. Well done to all involved.”
“Amazing home to the country's best site specific contemporary art and performance maker's. IOU studios is always worth a visit! They do courses and workshops there also. Strongly recommend it!”
“Great fun, wonderful people. Very welcoming trying to get people dancing.”
