From the first moment of stepping into Steve’s shop in Brighouse, we felt a true and genuine interest in designing a kitchen that was exactly right for us. A fantastically refreshing approach in which Steve tried to understand us rather than just sell us a kitchen, and a process in which we felt investing in as people, and the results were better than either of us could have imagined. Steve challenged our thinking in the right places, to ensure we had the right design and gave us food for thought on aspects that would have never crossed our minds. The partnership and collaboration paid such amazing dividends. The other aspect to highlight incredibly positively was that when we encountered glitches in the manufacturing (no fault of Steve’s) his proactive and attentive response was first class - if only all companies and service providers took such personal responsibility. “If you like real ale and craft beer, this is the best place to enjoy it. Its family run and full of atmosphere and nice people. They have music every Friday night at 8pm and if that's not your scene there is an upstairs section with more tables you can use which is a bit quieter but at other times the noise level makes it easy to talk to each other. Highly recommended .”

“I can highly recommend Websters Distinctive Furniture, and what an amazing shop they have!. Craig and all the staff were very helpful when we were choosing our new settees. We were kept informed of timescales whilst the furniture was being made. Our old settees were kindly taken away foc to go to charity. Right when you walk in, the place feels welcoming and cozy, making you feel right at home.The menu is packed with all sorts of yummy options. From the usual brunch goodies to some really unique dishes, there's something for everyone. I picked something off the menu that not only looked amazing but tasted incredible too. You could tell they used fresh ingredients because every bite was super flavorful. The staff at The Brooks were great as well. They were super friendly, always there when you needed them, and knew the menu inside out. They recommended some really good dishes and drinks that went perfectly with what we were in the mood for.The vibe of the place is just as cool. It's got a stylish yet laid-back decor, making it a perfect spot whether you're out for a casual brunch or celebrating something special. Plus, sitting outside on a nice day in Brighouse is pretty hard to beat.All in all, The Brooks is definitely a place I’d go back to and tell my friends about. Everything freshly cooked and a perfect balance of spices and seasoning. They will make your dish just how you like it. Very accommodating owner/manager and friendly staff. Great service. “So I've been here a few times as someone who doesn't live in Brighouse. Brighouse is an underestimated town and nowhere typifies the great attitude of the local populous more than this pub. Friendly,. Welcoming and several rooms with set functions like sport and music. If you happen to know a pub that is cold and unwelcoming show them this place. THIS is how a pub should be run.”

“Has had a lovely refresh since new ownership. A place with actual decent coffee and a children's play space is the ultimate dream for parents. Lots of space for pram parking . There is a step to enter but staff are helpful with getting you in. There is a changing table in the toilet (which is very clean) complete with emergency supplies! The children's lunchbox is also a great deal. Edit 15/8/25 I continually come back to Golden Linings due to the warm welcome from the staff, nothing is too much trouble whether you're there for 10 minutes or 2 hours. I will be sad to be not be here so often once I'm off Maternity Leave!”

Dog water provided. Just a cracking cafe so definitely our go to place for lemon Fanta with ice and blue and red straws in Brighouse . Good value to at under a tenner for 2 meals and 2 drinks!”

“As a relative newcomer to the area, I tried the Golden Hind cafe a few months ago and it was spot-on. Consequently, I now go on a fairly regular basis and I haven't been disappointed once. Top class Fish & Chips, nice puddings/sweets and the tea is good. Furthermore, the young servers are delightful, and they can't do enough for the customer. Been today on a dull day, but the day was brighter after the meal! Would recommend to anybody.”
