“I planned a surprise meal for my husband’s 60th birthday for 18 of us and what an evening to remember Everything was perfect which includes the food, staff and service they couldn’t have done any better. I will definitely return and would highly recommend this place. A big thank you for all involved”
“Used to eat often in the owners old restaurant in Thornton and pleased to say the food was just as it was, lovely pizzas, had a calzone and it was superb, delivered fresh and hot direct to our door in Baildon. Second time takeaway from here and wont be the last. Recommend.”
“I love this place. It's always the same people working and it's just really comfortable and familiar with consistently delicious food. Really nice and polite.”
“Absolutely fantastic food from here we live in Baildon and the pizza, burger's are always hot when delivered. Keep smashing the food guys it went down hill a while ago but your doing fantastic food 10/10 A+++++++++”
“me, my partner and 2 friends visited this takeout on our travels from up north and all I can say is WOW! everything was amazing, from the food down to the service, I’ve never tried donner meat like it! You will not regret visiting this place, thankyou so much to the owner who was great and very helpful! Will definitely be returning!”
“The girls working were super nice! Isabelle was really sweet and patient (I have a little social anxiety so it was really appreciated). The food is always nice and came really quickly.”
“Meant to put this review on a few weeks ago! We went in on the Sunday night of the Saltaire festival and the guy that was working there (ahhh we asked his name but didn’t write it down so sadly we have forgotten his name!) was just SO lovely! His customer service skills stood out in a day and age where sadly customer service skills are lacking in many, many establishments. He was friendly and chatty and genuinely looked happy to be there in his place of work. 10/10 We look forward to popping in again.”
“Outstanding staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone is welcome. Tammy and the team have rescued the pub from being a cold too bright and indifferent place and are the best team that's been in the place since Angie!”
“Lovely food hot and hearty. Staff are very helpful and always a warm welcome ! Would recommended for a tasty lunch. We had a sirloin and traditional scampy. Hot and tasty. Staff Emma and Carla very welcoming. Chef Harrison and Abi were working today”
“Always enjoyed going to this cafe but not this time I ordered a jacket potato with chicken tikka and I was enjoying till I ate a piece and it burnt my throat and my insides out with led me to waste the rest. I also haven’t been able to eat or drink properly for rest of the week so won’t be coming back sorry.”
“Really friendly guy, good quality food, decent price, what more could you ask for”
“We just had for the first time. Bloody amazing, tasty, hot, the portions are massive. This is my new fave. Thank-you”
“Great little place , some nice beer too”
“A lovely little cafe under Titus Salt's feet with an alpaca statue out front. I had a soup & a tea sat surrounded by plants with a view out to the Aire. There's a toilet and baby change inside as well as an accessible public toilet under the stone stairs outside that is open when the cafe is open.”
“Very friendly staff. I've not tried many of the dishes hear but what I've ordered has been delicious and plentiful, always piping hot. Would recommend.”
“Quality massive burgers that wanna escape the bap. Quality sauces also. I have tried many Rajas but this is on a different level.”
“Slight misunderstanding with my original order, purely a simple mistake but the service was superb! They rectified the issue straight away free of charge. The food is extremely tasty, compliments to the chef. Without doubt the best Chinese takeaway in Bradford.”
“What a lovely pub was like going back in time to when your local pub was a happy sociable place to be ....not boarded up or converted terribly into flats or out of place shop as the reality now!change of society,culture?...nice friendly staff and landlady...a Friday afternoon drink and catch-up with a friend turned out longer than expected as was a pleasant place to be so made afternoon of it... was also fed with free food regularly laid on homemade vegetable stew, bread and chips..also encouraged to help ourselves as much as wanted....what a lovely gesture why can't other pubs learn from this? Look after your customers...!! lovely views beer garden with ample seating overlooking fields and Saltair. .also good parking to front..well worth a visit highly recommended made to feel welcome..thankyou”
“Decent pub with very cheap prices for certain spirits and all beers. Karaoke on at times and a pool table. Warm hearted and honest staff.. a good pub all-round”
“Central location to Shipley. Large outdoor raised beer garden with great views over Shipley, Wrose and Baildon. You can also watch the trains go past. Large inside, friendly locals and staff”
“Reasonably priced menu with lots of choice. Try the 'Italian job' if you fancy pizza. Much better than the 'manufactured' taste of a Domino's. Delivered quickly both times we've used them.”
“We went for tea last week. The portions are generous and the food is tasty. Nice to also see some lighter options on the menu. I had the fiery fish which is really tasty. We were served by Donna. She was so welcoming and friendly. It was like dining with friends”
“We’ve dined at the Shipley Aagrah many many times over the years, we’ve always enjoyed great food and service in the a la carte restaurant and more recently we’ve discovered the delicious delights of the grill & carvery buffet, the wide selection of starters, mains and desserts lets you have a little bit of everything so you can quite literally eat until you are fit to burst, and for the last few years we’ve chosen to eat our Christmas lunch there too and it is for the most recent visit that this review is based on. The restaurant has recently reconfigured the layout of the grill & carvery, the kitchen has been moved which has opened up a considerable area for additional dining and we were initially concerned this extra capacity may lead to it being more congested at the self serve buffet but the opposite seems to be the case, throughout our meal there was a steady flow of diners loading up their plates (ourselves included) but the staff kept all the dishes well topped up and the whole thing just seems to work better. The food was exceptionally good, considering the volume produced it was all perfectly cooked and variety enough to suit all palettes, there was even a curried turkey offering so we left very full and contented with all our choices, the photos really don’t do justice to that but give you an idea. Just on a final note, the restaurant is no longer licensed so if you do want an alcoholic drink with your meal then you can bring your own but any soft drinks must be purchased in house. So thank you Aagrah for another wonderful Christmas meal and we will look forward to seeing you next year and many times in-between I’m sure.”
“Everything was so good with this pub. Food was the main reason we came here although they didn’t have much guest ale options. We four of us from London had such a good time here over the last couple days. The staffs were fantastic too!”
“Very friendly service a good choice of Eastern European food and snacks all reasonable priced, give it a whirl if that's what you like.”
“Polish produce. Best strong lagers and very friendly Amin on till. Even just said he'll take an order and deliver! Just message day before. Decent”
