“Absolutely great, awesome food, we were stood waiting outside and a member of staff got us two chairs to sit on, we didn’t even ask for chairs, absolutely lovely staff, great service too!”
“Absolutely brilliant place, really good value and top quality food with excellent service too!”
“Gorgeous little place had everything we needed. Dog friendly too. Lovely staff. Great food freshly made. Good selection of drinks & cakes, we had Manchester tart, delicious.”
“just had these and they are fabulous !!”
“What can I say, I have never been to this little hidden gem before and I live 15mins away. Had a dinner date with an old friend and we both loved it, the food, the service everthing will definitely be back very soon.”
“Friendly welcoming place and people. I highly recommend the home made scones.”
“Great service and food very good value for money.”
“That shop luscombe's is really nice, has different and unique gifts, the man was nice and polite, it is a shame the entrance is not on the front so more people could enter or in a slightly better location.”
“Was in the area so popped in the cafe needing to kill a bit of time. The food great and the cappuccino was also excellent. The staff are really friendly, as are the new owners. Hoping to visit again if I ever journey across to Bingley again!”
“In my opinion, this is the best coffee shop in Saltaire by far. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming, the coffee is delicious, and the toast and cinnamon buns are always delicious! I’m quite perplexed at some of the other poor reviews, especially concerning the staff not being friendly; in my experience these are the most friendly staff in any coffee shop in Saltaire by far, in other coffee shops, they can barely crack a smile, the coffee is cold, overpriced, and the environment is not comfortable at all. I’m also confused as to complaints about space to accommodate prams as anyone can see if a pram was brought to a table, there would be no room for people to safely walk around so clearly a health and safety issue. Keep doing what you’re doing Quaffery, you’re awesome!”
“Great coffee and breakfast here, do pop in, it’s fantastic. We left as they were putting out the lunch dishes, i will certainly be back to try those.”
“Great place to stop for delicious cakes and excellent coffee as well as a range of light meals, can certainly recommend the bacon sandwiches! Helpful staff who took time to help with our dietary requirements. We were able to find a good choice of food for people with food allergies. Good place to go with children. Dog friendly too, our dog was very happy with the dog treats! Pleasant sitting out area. Close to Saltaire. Very convenient for a stopping place on any of the lovely walks around the area.”
“I went for a hearty, wholesome full English (vegetarian) breakfast. My Uncle had the non-vegetarian, and my cousin had the Eggs Royale. For me, everything tasted precisely as expected (and hoped for) - particularly the poached eggs, which were made perfectly (runny golden yoke in the middle when cut into). Overall, the atmosphere was busy, but cosy- an ideal place to enjoy breakfast on a Saturday morning. Plus, I appreciated the open kitchen plan - you could see how everything was being cooked. Would definitely come back here again - and I recommend it for those looking for a cooked breakfast that doesn’t disappoint.”
“Nothing too fancy but all done really well. Full breakfast went down a treat. Good price, good food, will be back.”
“I am extremely fussy when it comes to breakfasts and very difficult to please. For example I don't generally bother with breakfasts in hotels as the quality of produce used is usually not good enough, cooked on mass and left for ages. The breakfast I had at The Lounge is without question the best I've ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and the quality outstanding. A particularly special mention for the black pudding, which again was the best I've ever had. Great service on a busy morning just after the remembrance service in Myrtle Park, and the staff are all lovely. I'll definitely be back and will be eager to also try the evening menu!”
“Great menu, great food, great staff, great prices. Lovely sandwich shop.”
“I ordered a birthday brownie stack last year, gluten free. It was amazing, Amanda even hand printed a birthday sign to place on top. I've been buying fudge from her stalls, and outlet at hirst lock Cafe ever since. Amazing product made by a lovely lady”
“Little gem of a tea room! Excellent selection of good priced food. Food excellent quality & portions good too. (3 adults visiting with a dog) Tried their bacon sandwich which was freshly made with plenty of bacon in a soft bap. Coffees made fresh, so we ended up staying long enough for a second round of coffees with cakes (gingerbread man, millionaires shortbread, cornflake tart…..all good value and would easily beat the competition for quality). We’ll certainly be back as there were other good valued meals advertised that we’d like to have tried too. Easily accessible location, and happy to accept dogs (they get as much attention as the humans!)”
“Lovely cafe, tasty food and friendly staff. Oh and they are trying to reduce the waste they produce (single use plastics) so win win.”
“Called here on Wednesday 6 Aug 25. Very nice sandwich and coffee provided swiftly. It was busy as it's school hols but the staff were efficient and courteous. I sat outside on a picnic bench. Quick shout out to the lovely lady with golden curls sat nearby :)”
“Why do I keep coming to this place? Because it feels like home. Home in a coffee cup. I like what they offer and the occasional muffin. It always has a good atmosphere. The staff are friendly and professional. The customers are varied in age and circumstance. A slice of life cohabiting a coffee bar. Why would I not go there? Relaxation.”
“Good cafe. Outdoor seating available when the weather is suitable. A little on the expensive side for meals.”
“Had the hand cut chips here they were delicious, our server was Ellie she was so accommodating and had such a lovely positive attitude, so nice to see such a smiling face, if I could give 6 stars I would, outstanding service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Absolute Brilliant Service from Don Marshall (hope I spelt his name correct) knows what he’s doing and speaks with nothing but respect to everyone. Even in rush hours he’s able to stay calm and collective.”
