“Had wonderful Saturday lunch time, special menu: food, coffee and a glass of wine for £18.95. (extra it's not cheap) The menu features a range of classic Italian dishes with signature of "Italian calabrese taste"...even a little bit adapted.(pasta a little overcooked and lots of sauce). Nice personal introduction from a member of team , who explained the dishes of the day to everybody. Staff friendly. The place is rather small inside, but we enjoyed the atmosphere outside table. We will visit again in the future.”
“I have been getting sushi at Sushi Hometown for the past year/ year and half, and they absolutely have never disappointed. Consistently the best sushi around. If you eat in, the food is presented on the plates so beautifully, which honestly are quite the masterpieces. This never fails to add to the experience. Also - the friendliest of staff at the counter and you always get a warm welcome with lots of smiles. All in all I could not recommend Sushi Hometown more.”
“I've waited several months before I wrote this review. Been several times now and each time every pizza and corresponding toppings have all been well balanced, flavourful and perfectly cooked. It's an open kitchen, so you can see them at work too ! They may not have a fancy pants, copper glad 100 thousand pound oven.... but what they do have is passion, creativity and a respect for ingredients. I watch them handle those dough pucks, light and pillowy with real life in it. Don't expect thick bases etc...you have to appreciate their particular style and allow the flavours and Chewiness of the dough to make your taste buds tingle. I love the simple, yet well thought out interior which reflects the chefs personality. The service is very friendly and non-judgemental. The team work well together and are very helpful. The atmosphere is great and they have a well thought out drinks selection. I'm not sure what else I can say, suffice to say it's a real Gem, worth a special journey for sure ! They are also quite flexible if you want to substitute bases etc. It's one of the best pizza joints in the Yorkshire for sure. Obviously from my review, you will have noted that I'm a Pizza lover !”
“Hands up how many of you have driven past this hidden gem or walked past it il go first I am guilty has the traffic that goes past it is unreal plus there is car parking to the left of the building which I never knew it actually says on the door before entry I noticed the outside has a rustic look to it which is a nice touch . Has I stepped inside I was greeted by the owner who runs a family oriented business with his heart set on Italian food I was feeling a lot of passion he also told me about his family history which I found intriguing plus how he wants to carry on the family routes also the place has a ground floor plus an upstairs with some interesting decor around the place which I found very nice to look at also while inside I forgot we were near a busy junction plus with background music playing now the important thing the food they have some cracking deals which you can’t go wrong with so if you like Italian food like pizza or pasta or any Italian dishes now I would highly recommend this place book online or give them a ring weds -Sunday they also a fantastic range of dessert who doesn’t like a good choice of desserts plus not forgetting cocktails or other non alcoholic beverages now where do I finish off the place looked pretty clean & nicely set out with comfy chairs with a really nice friendly vibe I can’t wait to call back on Sunday I am spoilt for choice I definitely love the family Italian roots you can tell you are in for a treat . Has I was leaving a guy in a van asked me if the place was any good I said call in when it’s open next & try it for yourself I wonder if he will hold me up to that.”
“5 of us called in yesterday 6/12/25 for breakfast lovely friendly greeting nothing too much trouble and the food was outstanding everything cooked just the way I asked for will definitely go again”
“Excellent in every way. Attentive service. Authentic and varied pizza menu. Cosy and classy setting. Great atmosphere. Outstanding pizzas. Generous portions. A hidden gem.”
“Well what a surprise this place turned out to be. Hidden away in an old market in the city centre their food is amazing. Tried the noodles with duck and absolutely loved it. Will be going back to try a different dish in the near future.”
“Excellent food. Staff are brilliant. They even adjust their food for your heat tolerances.”
“My favourite Italian restaurant. Excellent food, service and drink. Staff are super welcoming and friendly. Lasagne is to die for. Angelos chicken special is unreal. Excellent venue for birthdays. As you can see the staff go the extra mile to accommodate your requests. We will be returning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 5*****”
“My first visit with friends after work, and I was blown away with the service, value, quality of food, and a great atmosphere. This place was packed on a Thursday night, and I can see why. £12.95 for a two course meal is fantastic, served with a choice of good value extras, and cool Peronni on draught. I would highly recommend this place, and I shall be returning soon.”
“What a lovely place.Popped in for a quick meal before the theatre and the service and food was excellent. Very reasonably priced too. Will definitely go again soon”
“Really like this place. Cosy, friendly and a cut above the rest. 4th visit now and I like it more every time.”
“We visited last night for the 3rd time and will definitely be back again soon. The food is lovely, service great and overall really good value for money. We attended with our toddler and when he was a little on the loud side, there were no funny looks from guests or staff and the waitress even came over and kept him entertained while we finished our food. This was very much appreciated, thank you. I’ve seen some reviews mention portion size. We did 2 courses and the sizes were perfect, the starter was actually a little in the large side. I think at £9-£12 for pizza/pasta, you should just order a starter if you’re on the hungrier side. The drinks are also really good value at £4 per pint and £5 for a large house wine. What a hidden gem!!”
“Best Full English in Wyke, great value, friendly service, cafe is very clean and tidy.”
“Otley's hidden jem! Delicious home cooked Italian food, small intimate venue, friendly service. Reasonable prices as well, especially given the quality. I have never had nicer bruchetta! My daughter also loved her spaghetti Bolognese.”
“Go there nearly every week. The Food is very good and fresh all the time. Staff are very helpful and nice”
“I recently visited this Italian restaurant and was really impressed by how fast and reliable the service was. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Our food came out quickly, perfectly hot, and exactly as we ordered it — no delays or mix-ups at all. Beyond the excellent service, the food was absolutely delicious! The pasta was fresh, the sauces were full of flavor, and the portions were generous without feeling overdone. You can tell they really care about both the quality of their dishes and the experience of their guests. It’s rare to find a place that combines such efficiency with genuine warmth and great food. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine with top-notch service.”
“I had a fantastic experience at Howdy. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was excellent . I tried the steak, and it was cooked to perfection—tender and flavorful. The sides complemented the meal wonderfully. Overall, a great spot for a delicious dining experience!”
“Great food. Even got a phone call to check I didn't have any allergies. Delivery was quick and the gentleman was very friendly.”
“Fantastic find for an excellent meal before a concert at the impressive Piece Hall. Staff were excellent as was the food and reasonable prices, for really good sized portions. Their pizza bread as a starter is highly recommended. Would definitely return and I don't often say that. Great value early bird menu as well, and very popular, which speaks for itself!”
“Just had to share how amazing Polinos in Halifax is! We've been there a few times now, and it's totally become our go-to spot when we want to make something special. The food is just incredible—like, the pizza and pasta are next-level delicious. But let's talk cocktails for a sec. They're fantastic and honestly worth the trip alone. You've got to try the Mai Tai cocktail—it's absolutely stellar! The service is fantastic and personal, making you feel genuinely valued every time you visit. The staff really go above and beyond to make your dining experience special. If you're a steak lover, you're in for a treat. The steaks are cooked perfectly every single time. We even tried the large tomahawk sharing steak, and it was phenomenal—melt-in-your-mouth goodness! And for the size of that thing, it's actually reasonably priced. Oh, and the views! You get this beautiful landscape of the Calder Valley while you dine. It's seriously the perfect backdrop. Honestly, Polinos is well worth a visit. It blows any other Italian spot in town out of the water. Highly recommend!”
“Just been and had a lovely meal as usual. The surf and turf was amazing and the sauce was so good i ordered extra bread to mop up. As usual, staff were awesome and there seems to be a much more relaxed and fun atmosphere. See you again in a couple of weeks”
“I had an amazing experience here! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the cozy, authentic Italian atmosphere immediately set the tone for a great meal. The food was exceptional—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. The homemade pasta was incredibly flavorful, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff genuinely seemed passionate about the menu. Everything from start to finish was top-notch. If you’re looking for truly authentic Italian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Gorgeous food as always, staff are always super friendly and accommodating! We’ve been coming here for 8 years and never had a bad meal! Gabriella is great! :)”
“Love this place without a doubt will come back again!!! We came up to Yorkshire to celebrate a family event and decided to come to this family run Italian restaurant as it’s the only other one that was open in the town (other one was closed). The staff were all so lovely and helpful helping us choose what to eat, the owners dad was singing and whistling while serving it was a great vibe. All the customers were speaking Italian and the place was full so we knew we came to the right place! We even ended up seeing the owner and her dad in the cafe we went to the next morning haha! Now the food, they had a deal for three courses I think it was £18 We got the calamari, garlic bread and king prawns Maybe because we opted for the deal we got served smaller portions but that’s no issue you get what you paid for however the king prawns were not king prawns at all, they were very small and were regular prawns and only 5 came. They were the size of a 10p coin. Also didn’t come with shells (which upon asking about why these aren’t king prawns which we didn’t get an answer to, they have no shells because the community doesn’t like it which is understandable) the sauce however was spicy but not too much and had a great fresh tomato flavour!! The calamari was delicious the sauce was also great, and the garlic bread was soft and pillowy, great to dip into the sauce of the prawns!! The mains were a very big let down, lacking of flavour but good portions. I got the mixed seafood linguine in tomato sauce, my friend got the lobster ravioli and my other friend got the chicken, cream and pesto pasta I believe. My pasta was a generous portion with plenty of seafood however had no flavour, no salt or pepper no garlic nothing it was just as if they just stirred the pasta with the sauce and seafood and just put it on a plate. My friends lobster ravioli didn’t taste of lobster at all just of fish, like sickening fishy, I think they may use seafood bouillon or fish paste in the sauce or ravioli, no complaints from the chicken cream and pesto friend but he eats anything really haha. The pasta itself was cooked really well and aldente! I think they sensed we didn’t like it and did offer to change our pastas however we didn’t want to complain as they were so lovely!!! Also the wine we ordered was a white wine and we got a bottle, it was warm… and we realised it came out of the box it had came in and wasn’t in the fridge at all. The wine cooler they put on the table that had the wine in had a few measles ice cubes at the bottom and was plastic… so didn’t do a good job at all. Surely, Knowing you’ve not got a properly chilled wine, you would provide a proper cooler and more ice, nevertheless the bottle of Pinot Grigio was delicious. The service and dessert is where they won us over, they had a special dessert of Trilece (they import the caramel from Albania, and the homemade tiramisu! These were to die for, even though we were stuffed we practically licked our plates clean. We ended our dinner with a lovely chat with all the staff about what there is to do in Haworth and Keighley and Limoncello on the house. The food is extremely reasonably priced but I’m coming up from London so I’m not going to blab on about that haha, and they don’t even add service to their bills. They said that their menu is expensive to where they are. 3 courses for each person ( we were three people) and a bottle of wine £75 !!!!!! I highly recommend this place if you’re nearby and if I ever go back up to Keighley I will be visiting again!!! Grazie per averci ospitato, ci vediamo di nuovo!”
“There are not many Japanese restaurants in Leeds. Feed is one of the good Sushi restaurants in Leeds. Besides Sushi, the crispy Tempura is a good choice. Free street parking.”
“A group of 5 friends, we went this afternoon on a bottomless menu - £35 pp with mocktails and soft drinks included. Although there was a power cut when we arrived and waited half an hour in candlelight it was still a fab afternoon with plenty of food that was very tasty. Staff were really friendly and approachable and I am looking forward to going again!”
“We had a really nice meal at Pa-Pi Pasta & Pinsa. The Pinsa was really tasty and fresh and the menu is very reasonably priced, would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian food.”
“amazing food and big portions, Wood fired makes a big difference”
“Always have a great meal at Da Sandro. The last time we went there were a few delays from waiting staff and we were told the drink was coke zero (we checked twice) only to be told by someone else that they didn't stock that. However didn't take away from the pleasure of our meal.”
