“Highly recommend. I went to the Calverley Arms to treat my Grandparents for a Christmassy meal and it was amazing. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were beyond helpful and lovely. We ordered from the festive menu, we had the Sea bass, the chicken/pancetta/leak pie and a steak, with salted caramel profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, it was all incredible. The chefs Danny and Amber cooked everything to perfection. All of the staff were lovely, but our servers Louise and Ellie were so friendly and were more than accommodating with slight changes to the food to suit my grandparents. Can’t recommend enough and will definitely go back.”

“My first time at Howdy! The steaks, the vibes and everything is overall phenomenally good. The “Lamb Sizzler” is so juicy, tasty and good to eat with good temperature, perfection and fresh. The atmosphere is good. Easy to talk while it is quiet to dine-in. The tables and seatings are always cleaned and easy to sit and relax. The service, the staff and everything is definitely good. Fresh and relaxing music too. Prices are good. Definitely and highly recommend Howdy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I moved to Pudsey about a year ago, and this was my first time trying The Bearded Sailor. I have to say, everything was top-tier quality , from the lightning-fast and friendly service (even when busy) to the lovely, tender, perfectly battered fish and the flavoursome homemade tartar and curry sauces. Everything about this chippy oozes quality. Easily the best in the surrounding area, if not all of Leeds.”

“Nice and clean restaurant with parking in the back. The fish was smaller than I remembered but tasted delicious and the chips are divine. Had to wait a long while for my dessert order. The desert I had was apple crumble with custard but the custard was watery and tasteless.”

You can taste the quality of the food and the experience of the chefs in every bite. I went for the mixed donner which was unreal. I ordered there watermelon mocktail, which i highly recommend you try also. Would definitely recommend you try Woodys.”

Great staff, great atmosphere and fab drinks menu...you'll have to go in about 2 and fall weeks due to refurbishment and from what's been said, the pub will be totally upgraded and made even better! “My wife and teenage daughters were based in Pudsey for 3 weeks as we were visiting from Australia to see family. We absolutely loved Spoons and the entire staff and community that frequented there. We were “frequent” visitors for meals and quiet late night drinks.The staff are 5 star. Thanks for a wonderful venue.”
