“When I walked through Gary’s door I felt very apprehensive, having never been to counselling before, but Gary’s kind nature and approach created a safe space for me straight away and he started to gently open me up over our sessions. I came to Gary feeling completely broken, confused, struggling to make sense of what I’d been through, unhappy and a bit lost. When I left I was strongest I’ve ever felt, had clarity, felt healed and I had found myself in a way I never thought possible. I will be eternally grateful for what Gary has done for me. What I’ve learnt with Gary I can carry with me as I go through the rest my life. My experience with Gary as a counsellor showed me how wonderful and life affirming excellent counselling can be.”
“Matthew was my Psychotherapist for a total of two years over two separate periods of time. Matthew provides a calm, safe space to explore issues that arise from the daily battering of life, family, work, circumstance and experiences. At first it was a challenge for me to open up and identify the things that were troubling me. With kindness, patience and time, Matthew gained my total trust and I was able to work through my issues feeling listened to, valued, understood and supported. The best thing about Matthew is that he taught me practical solutions to help me communicate better which has had a hugely positive effect on my relationships in life. After two years of therapy I was able to move on with my life with a tool box that has filled me with confidence to share my feelings in a kind, considered, calm way avoiding conflict. Sometimes you meet someone who makes a huge difference to your life. Matthew has been that person for me. I cannot recommend him more highly...”
“I cannot recommend Alison enough. She was supportive and kind during our sessions and I always finished up feeling so glad to be able to express whatever was in my mind for that hour. She was flexible if I needed to move a session around, very accommodating. 10/10!”
“My time with PB Counselling has been completely transformational. I spent the last three years having regular weekly sessions, and Paul was always on time and always engaged. He is a wonderful person and has an unmeasurable capacity for kindness, compassion, and empathy. During our sessions he was always honest, challenged my thinking, and accepted me for who I am. His humanitarian approach to counselling combined with the EMDR helped me face some real traumas, overcome my feelings of inadequacy, anxiety and depression. This sparked a massive chain reaction throughout my life, everything has improved tenfold- from my home, career, finances, relationships, hobbies, and most importantly- my relationship with myself. When I look back and think to how scared and resistant I was to start counselling, I could never have imagined that this is where I would be. I have never felt as truly seen as I do now which really only makes me happier to be in my own skin. Thank you Paul, for everything!”

If you’re looking for a compassionate and skilled therapist, Karen is the one to see. Thank you, Karen, for all that you do!”
“The amazing Susanne at growing space Well.. what can I say. I don’t know how to put my experience and what I’ve gained into words but I’ll give it a good go. When I first met Susanne I was at a time in my life that wasn’t great rock bottom you could call it. On the advice of my family and my partner I sought Susanne’s skills and guidance to face my demons and tackle issues and insecurities I had buried for years due to a pivotal event I took their advice and contacted Susanne to arrange a meeting. This was the best move I have ever made and I haven’t looked back for a moment since. From day one Susanne was warm and welcoming and non-judgemental. I relaxed and opened up to her over time and realised so many things about myself strength being one of them. The ways in which we worked together and the time we spent has changed my life and I am the happiest and most self assured person I have ever been. Susanne is truly incredible in what she has done for me and for so many. I would recommend in a heartbeat because things do get better and there is always a way out.. I found out truly amazing things about myself and saw life and challenges very differently I think I even used the word superwomen because that’s how I feel everyday. Life will throw all sorts our way because that’s life.. but within my work with Susanne I feel I am equipped to cope and deal with whatever comes my way and to live in the moment to enjoy and relish every inch of this life and most importantly to know that it’s okay to ask for help and support whenever and that it’s okay just not to be okay. I know myself better than ever and I am the person I’ve always been just now at the surface. I’ll never be able to truly thank Susanne or put into words just how much I thank my family and partner for this experience but wow.. it feels so good to be happy. To live in the present and to appreciate every little thing. To love myself. Yours sincerely, Superwoman. Loving herself.”
