“I attended the Urgent Medical Care unit today, SUNDAY 7th Dec, as my septic finger was becoming more and more swollen, extremely tender and extremly painful. Advice I had received the previous few days from two local Pharmacists of '. . Bathe it in hot salt water or TCP . .' and 'Apply a magnesium sulfate paste . .' were all tried but proved useless in curing the problem. The Receptionish and the Staff at the UMC were very polite and caring and in only 45 minutes I had been seen by Gary a very competent Nurse (apologies if a Doctor) who lanced and cleansed my finger, then carefully bandaged it and gave me antibiotics and further advice.
