“I took my old beloved faithful shoes in for repair that should have gone in the bin as over ten years old. Collected them two days later and have been brought back to life. Excellent workmanship with new sole and heals and stitching. Had another pair of shoes re-healed with metal heals which is hard to come by now as most places only do rubber heals which do not last. This is excellent service and give 10/10 not to mention the cost which is far way cheaper than other places without the quick personable service. The most kind gentleman, also removed chewing gum off of shoes which I failed to do with ice. He really does care about your shoes and goes beyond just repair. I was not charged for stitching to my shoes which a previous company just bodged with glue and had an ugly lump on my shoe. This has now been professionally repaired. Can't say enough about this kind man and he offers a first class service in all respects. No matter how battered your shoes are, he makes them look good again and is a most honourable man. “Left the original review below in 2020 and have come back Jan 2024 for an MOT (fitting it in when I am visiting family as at least I will get a good service here) and again had a great experience. Nice and straight forward and honest and a relief when I've had so many horrible experiences. My radiator was leaking and I've heard and read about how expensive it can be to get a new radiator etc so was pleasantly surprised that he could fix the leaks as well as another issue and it was a very reasonable price I am so relieved, thanks! Thank goodness I brought my car for a second opinion to John Moore Auto repairs. Took my car to a well known chain car service (after googling and reading trust pilot reviews I assumed I could trust) in London. They gave me a long list of problems and quote of over £800 (not including service charge I had already paid) for a well looked after 11yo ford fiesta. Of the many red and amber alerts they gave me they included changing all my brakes and so John got everything ready to change and instead found my brakes were almost new and definitely didn’t need changing. He did however find I had a puncture in one tyre and another tyre with a valve leak (both of which had been missed by the well know car chain with apparently good reviews) despite my concern as I needed my car ready for quite a few long distance journeys). The overall cost totalled £250 not over £800! So relieved to find a garage I can trust (thanks to my brother in law) and will be bringing my car here for any future work despite the fact I live in London. Highly recommend.”
