“Excellent roadside cafe / ‘greasy spoon’. Friendly service, good prices and exactly what you’d expect in terms of food. There are even chickens, ducks and Emus on show to keep you entertained while eating!”
“This is a beautiful little hidden gem. We were nearby and put ‘cafe’ into google maps and found this awesome place. We came just before lunch service ended but nothing was too much trouble. The food was perfect, gluten free and vegetarian catered for. Great prices and super chilled atmosphere. Staff were brilliant. Highly highly recommended.”
“Popped in while traveling. Arrived not too long after opening and were seen immediately. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food we had was out of this world and everything we saw others ordering looked just sublime. We had the swordfish which melted in the mouth and everything comes with veg and both roast and dauphinoise potatoes. If you have the chance to eat here, do so you will not regret it.”
“Love it! So delicious and filling with options for carnivores and vegans. I've had the burger before and finally had the falafel burrito. It was full of flavour. If you are in a hurry you can also order online to pick up. Will deffo be there again! Very reasonably priced for a local business in 2023.”
“Lovely little tea room, sadly as I have the dog it's not really possible to go in there, but they do takeaway so go and grab some of the random assortment of various cakes on offer. They also do doggy ice cream so dogs are rather happy too after doing the 4.5 mile circular walk around the High Street.”
“Exquisite “fine dining” experience beyond what you might expect from a typical pub!!! Great selection of beer on draft! We ate under huge canopy outside & inside the pub was full of olde world charm & character!! Friendly staff!! Will return again when in the area!”
“Wonderful food, attention, and everything. The waiters are so kind and gentle, always with a smile, and food are so tasty. 100% recomendated.”
“Lovely little picnic box of delights! More than enough for the two of us. Presented so beautifully too!”
“Just turned up about 5pm on Friday not too busy. We’ve been in the area for nearly a week and I wish we had found this before. Best food I’ve had all week and great service”
“Went for the mixed grill so we could sample lots of different things. They did not disappoint, the portion was huge and everything was fresh. Tastes were amazing. Sauces were great. Can't wait to go back!”
“The food tasted fresh and well balanced, and the service was friendly without feeling rushed. A pleasant dining experience overall.”
“We've been to La Passione a few times now. This is the first time to go whilst under new management and name change to Amici. They honoured our La Passione gift vouchers. The food was very tasty. The pizza was cooked better than the times we went when the place was called La Passione. The service was more attentive. Only thing negative is that it took a long time for food to come.”
“Excellent food and service. Very friendly staff. Great value for money too. Good sized portions.”
“Food was nice and staff were friendly, we were originally given the wrong dishes but the mistake was quickly rectified. Entrance and general interior is a little quirky but still nice.”
“We dined here for a 30th Birthday Celebration and left very full and satisfied! I give the food a 4/5 as I didn’t really enjoy the seaweed custard as it didn’t taste of anything, just like a plain cold custard. This was the only disappointing dish on the menu and I appreciate the skill of the dish, even though the flavour was lacking. The best dish for us was the dessert as it was unbelievable and ticked every box! We also loved the Cod, full of flavour!”
“I can't say enough positive things about The Greenbean Cafe. The takeout was delicious, the place is family-friendly, and the service was exceptional. We had a flat tire in our rental car and our English isn't very good. We went in to ask for help, and the manager didn't hesitate for a moment. She helped us with the paperwork and made our waiting time easier. I'll never forget what it meant to us to meet someone so kind. Thank you so much again; my family will never forget it.”
“I’m not typically the biggest fan of Chinese take away but eating in at The Fortune was lovely and the plain chow-mien was so tasty! Sadly we were only passing through as if this was local to us I would definitely be coming regularly!”
“Best Chinese ever! The food is tasty, the choice is fantastic and the service cannot be beaten. Give these guys a go, you will not be disappointed. Tip: the smoked chicken is frickin awesome!”
“I'm here often, the coffee is great and the cakes on offer are excellent! In spring, summer, and later autumn, you can sit outside on a lovely warm terrace and be served your drinks and food. It's my time out space, I've often come here to stop, think, and look for a while and the staff are always friendly and helpful too. Plus the added advantage of beautiful cake, the pear cake is delicious and with a great latte your well on your way to a great pit stop and top up to set you right for the rest of the day!”
“Absolutely fantastic night! Food was amazing and high quality, but very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was lovely and our reservation was on time. Very easy to get to in the centre of town and near the station. But the highlight of the evening was the service - can't thank the staff enough for making us laugh so much!! Roger was brilliant, he knew when to step in with a recommendation or joke, and when to let us chat amongst ourselves and enjoy the food. Can't wait to go back!”
“We just had our wedding reception here and had an amazing time. The day went exactly as planned and the staff were amazing to bring it all together. The food was exceptional and enjoyed by all. Those with dietary requirements were well catered for as were the children. The grounds and venue are amazing and idyllic which produced the most amazing photos. The honeymoon suite is large, well equipped and very comfortable despite being somewhat more expensive than the other rooms (worth the additional fee). The events team were great at keeping in touch and meeting our needs for our wedding. There was just two niggles but they weren’t a show stoppers. We had hoped for the traditional outdoor Christmas tree but this wasn’t to be and was made up for by having many indoor trees. There was only the bar food menu offered the night before, that said the food was delicious then too (be sure to pre-book if you don’t want a long wait for larger groups). Be aware of time keeping for meals, you must be prompt otherwise you risk not getting fed without an additional fee. Meal timings are clearly displayed. It is a great spot for a wedding. I recommend this place for others considering a wedding of this type.”
“Ben is an absolute connoisseur of Chow, a real company first man. Right from the “welcome to chow” to the “have a great day”, maximum effort is guaranteed. He makes that food with love because he loves you and he loves Chow. Visit bed at Moto east and get your self some proper chow.”
“This is lovely pub restro in the beautiful Castle Combe and a perfect stop for a hot meal. There are only two places to eat one is the White House. We visited castle Combe on a bank holiday weekend (assuming it will be less crowded). The white hart still was very busy but they have a lot of tables and plenty of places to seat. The queue to order was long. And as they were short staffed on the bank holiday, food took a little longer to come. But no complains as the sandwiches we ordered were delicious. I don’t remember when was the last time we had such yumm sandwiches. Loved it. Wait worth a while.”
