“If you live in Bristol or you're ever near Clifton, you have to check out Clifton Mini Market. It's honestly the best corner shop I’ve ever been to – and I’m not just saying that. It’s one of those rare places that somehow has everything you need, all packed into a small, tidy space, and run by genuinely lovely people. First off, the range of stock is amazing. Whether I’m popping in for essentials like milk and bread, grabbing a snack, or even looking for that one random ingredient I forgot from the supermarket – they always seem to have it. And somehow, despite being a small shop, it never feels cramped or chaotic. Everything is easy to find and well organised. The prices are really fair too – not like those corner shops that charge double just because they can. Plus, they’ve got loads of local produce, good deals, and some little surprises like fresh fruit or unique drinks you don’t always see in the big stores. But honestly, what makes this place truly special is the service. The staff are always friendly, polite, and genuinely welcoming. They remember faces, ask how your day is going, and create that real neighbourhood feel that’s hard to come by these days. It’s the kind of shop where you don’t just run errands – you actually enjoy going in. Clifton Mini Market isn’t just convenient – it’s reliable, friendly, and at the heart of the community. Whether you live nearby or you’re just passing through, you’ll quickly understand why so many people swear by this little gem. Support local, skip the queues at the supermarket, and shop here instead – you won’t regret it!”
“Excellent corner shop, can only fault them for charging to use card machine”
“A fabulous quirky indoor Market with lovely small stalls. Reminds me of something we use to have in my home town back in the 80's. We actually visited the cafe Witcher's Cauldon, within the Market for their £2 breakfast and for £2, which included coffee/tea it was rather good! Friendly and helpful service.”
“I think it is one of the best shops for sweets in Bristol! (Hector - 9 years old)”
“Amazing range of confectionary on this new Cadburys display. Absolutely worth a visit to grab yourself a snack!”
“Great Thai supermarket, speaking as family member of a skilled Thai cook from Thailand. All the stuff you need, packed to the rafters. Fresh stuff is fantastic...Thai basil, mangoes, morning glory, small aubergines etc. Lovely owner”
“Always a great selection of produce also great for a stop and a bite to eat including drinks, great seating area to the side and back, also toilets too”
“Beautiful historic bridge with lovely views of the river and weir. Great spot for photos and a peaceful walk and a must-see in Bath! Beautiful city full of history and charm. Stunning architecture, relaxing Roman Baths, and lovely riverside walks. Bath is always a joy to explore!”
“I couldn't figure why I'd give 5 stars to a supermarket, but then I tried to rationalise not giving it 5 and couldn't think of a reason to knock a star off.”
