“I've been visiting Hair by Alysha since 2017 (minus a brief period during COVID when I'd moved out of Newport). Good hair salons are hard to come by and this is definitely one of the good ones! I used to have a scalp bleach which is notoriously difficult to get right, but I was always amazed with how my hair got to ice white and was never frazzled or damaged! Following advice from the stylists, I made the switch from scalp bleach to highlights about a year ago. I definitely wouldn't have felt comfortable doing this unless I trusted the salon! The quality of advice and service is unmatched. Izzy does my hair at the moment and is fab, but all the girls are super friendly. Despite it being months between appointments you always feel like a regular. The prices are reasonable for the high quality hair and aftercare. I will hopefully never go to a different salon again!”

They will tell you when something is bad for your hair and give you a way to get what you want over time if it's a drastic change rather than ruining your hair just to please you in the short term. They are award winning and it's clear that they take pride in training their staff to a high level and it shows in your hair when you leave. In my humble opinion it's the best salon in Wales. Oh - and they're punctual with appointments which is a huge plus. They also have wifi so you're not stuck reading magazines if you don't want to!”

The staff are warm and welcoming, studio is bright and clean, seating is comfy and the range of hair colours is excellent. The lady that did my hair was quick and precise, she did an amazing job on my hair to the point that I've been stopped several times and asked where I got it done. Everyone in there was welcoming and the owner is a sweetheart! Tip- research parking before you arrive as most of it is 1 hour stay or residential permit only. Disabled parking is available but scattered about!”
