“I've been visiting Hair by Alysha since 2017 (minus a brief period during COVID when I'd moved out of Newport). Good hair salons are hard to come by and this is definitely one of the good ones! I used to have a scalp bleach which is notoriously difficult to get right, but I was always amazed with how my hair got to ice white and was never frazzled or damaged! Following advice from the stylists, I made the switch from scalp bleach to highlights about a year ago. I definitely wouldn't have felt comfortable doing this unless I trusted the salon! The quality of advice and service is unmatched. Izzy does my hair at the moment and is fab, but all the girls are super friendly. Despite it being months between appointments you always feel like a regular. The prices are reasonable for the high quality hair and aftercare. I will hopefully never go to a different salon again!”

“My hair is very curly and a nightmare to maintain and do a haircut on. This has caused some weird looks of "how are we supposed to cut this dude's hair" every time I walked into a barber shop. This has made having a haircut a bit of an odd experience for me. Tracey has been the most professional barber I've visited to date, and I've visited tons. Not once was she intimidated by my impossible-to-maintain hair. For once, I don't feel weird going for a haircut. Can't recommend Klip Joint enough. Thank you Tracey!”

“Very high quality barbers, I've been a couple of times now as I'm new to the area, and will continue using this barbers exclusively. Well worth the money - the staff are friendly, don't rush and the end result is a proper top notch hair cut. They really put in the effort and time to get it right. I've also had my sons (10 year old) hair cut from here and the staff were excellent, really made an effort to engage with him and chat about his interests and whatnot. Last words - in the past I've just got used to a quick hair clippers and cut off the top from previous barbers, but it's a different experience here - on my previous visit here I decided to go for a hot towel shave/shape too - honestly if anyone reading hasn't tried it before, it's well worth it!”

“Went to get my hair cut today and couldn't me more happy with a decision. Its hard to find the right salon sometimes however upon entering, I fell in love with the vibe of the place. I was quickly seated and the workers got to work. the ladies were an amazing and fast paced team. Their apprentice katie did a hand massage and it was so stress relieving. The team are so sweet and good at their jobs, I was really happy to stumble upon this place. Their service is outstanding. They offer a variety of spa treatments aside from hair. The music was soothing and calm which was honestly great. The team have lovely manners and were ensuring that i was happy with each step. We engaged in a friendly conversation and they served me a drink as i sat down, they were really quick about this and we were able to start right away. “Fantastic shop! All of the guys there are amazing and so friendly. The atmosphere is always great with laughing and conversations being had by all in the shop. Everyone feels comfortable and just chats away to each other! Al is my barber but I took my son and while having mine done Calum did my 3 year olds cut, he was amazing and sat him in the chair, talked to him and reassured him the whole time. His cut came out awesome, and he loved the experience of being sat on his own. As always, Al let him eat lollys that is a big plus for my boy. I highly recommend getting your cut from these boys! You won't regret it, I promise! I also took my brother with me, and he now will only go to them, smashed his old barber out of the water!.”
