“All the sessions I've had with Gareth at Alchemy Hypnotherapy (previously The Penarth Practice) have been worth every moment of my time. Gareth is a truly magical wizard with his holistic approach and in depth knowledge and understanding of the mind, body and soul. I've had other counselling in the distant past with group led classes on the NHS but found I didn't get along well and I ended up leaving because it wasn't working for me. Very disheartening when waiting lists were so long too. Back to the now and I had no issues with getting an appointment after an initial enquiry via the contact page of their website. Although I was very nervous with the idea of a long distance one to one video call online as I'm very shy but I quickly discovered there was no reason to be as Gareth is very easy going and conversations flow and before I realise another appointment is over. The software used for the face to face appointment is really great and easy to use and very much up with the future of technology. As for the actual consultations I now look forward to seeing and speaking with Gareth as his modern day approach of solutions focused compared to the archaic CBT is refreshing and is working well for me. Gareth gives gentle nudges when I fear change and loads of support as I move on at a controllable pace together and he encourages me to embrace the challenges he sets. I really enjoy reporting back at the beginning of each session and having that satisfaction of accountability too! It's only when I look back to reflect do I notice the achievements I have made and the problems I have conquered and faced up to. Thank you.”
