“New owners have made the shop feel much bigger by adding shelving and having fully stocked shelves. I have worked in the village for 5 years now and the old shop was always bare when I visited, rarely had what I was looking for when on a break which included tobacco and cold drinks. Am a regular visitor there now and I imagine that the housing estate (that was built a good few years ago) and other local residents appreciate they don’t have to travel to the other end of the village any more to get everyday bits and pieces.”

“We were very hungry visitors to the town. Never visited before, and was on the look out for a full English, we were actually heading to find somewhere else but this caught my eye. Never heard of it before but have since learnt that they have many around the country. Welcome and service was exceptional. We had a person with an allergy with us and the staff were very thorough and made us all feel at ease. Allergy menu available on line and easy to see. Food arrived and it didn't disappoint at all. Great portion with a bit of everything on it and it was amazing. Thank you to Liliana for being an enthusiastic, helpful, chatty ray of sunshine and making it all the more special. Hopefully be back again soon.”

“We skirted by Southam on our journey from Dunkirk to Blackpool just so we could visit our favourite Chinese food takeaway. We had stayed on a number of occasions nearby in Marton and always made sure we visited this excellent establishment. We only ordered part of the usual meal we have ordered but it gave us the boost we needed to carry on and complete the journey in one day. Evidence that it is a good place to go? “This was the best Indian I had in my life the staff were extremely helpful and polite and didn’t mind when I asked for different variations of my meals as my daughter is quite picky. The food was amazing and came quick, even the toilets were nice and clean unlike many places I have been too. I would come again definitely my go to now. “Amazing service and food. We had paneer kadai, chicken lababdaar, garlic naan and tandoori roti and of course mango lassi is an all time favourite. Food is authentic and I have not had better naan anywhere in UK. Harindar was superb in serving us and also got a special lassi glass for our daughter.”

“The chef is a genius, the food was perfection. The waiting staff are absolutely lovely, we were served by Raphaël and another gent (I’m sorry we didn’t get your name), both provided excellent service. The 6 course tasting menu we did was also amazing value for what we were given. The fish stew was my absolute favourite course, but the harissa carrot soup and chocolate mousse were close runners up. Thanks so much guys, you should all be proud of yourselves.”

“Large, characterful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Stopped in for an early breakfast (avocado toast and scrambled eggs with toast) along with a latte and pot of green tea. Nice meal and good service.”

“Can I just say Wow! We stayed here for our corporate away day on the 12th - 13th of November and It was fantastic. The events team helped me with every query, The price was fanatic with everything that was included. The staff were lovely and accommodating, the meeting space we used for our all day meeting was great, rooms were super comfy and the food was 10/10. We will be considering to stay here again for our next away day, highly recommend.”

“This is a very good venue for performances of music and voice. The acoustics of the main hall hardly need reinforcement by amplification other than for an MC. There are plenty of rooms for rehearsal or preparation, and for the audience there are good facilities including two bars. There is enough room to enable different configurations of seating and performance layout. There is adequate parking space available for performers and audience. The building appears huge, well appointed and maintained, welcoming to all visitors.”

“Nicely decorated restaurant with polite attentive staff. They have a wide range of dishes on offer covering the whole of India’s cuisine. We elected for northern Indian style dishes and we can safely safe they were very traditional in flavour, so we were incredibly satisfied. Each curry dish had a good amount of meat in it too which is worth mentioning (Lamb Balti and a Chicken Vindaloo). The Paneer for starters was a good way to get the juices flowing. All in all a brilliant experience; traditional, authentic flavours and good fair prices!”

She answered our questions about the food and helped us navigate the app … we ordered from our table. The food was good, standard pub meal, but was hot and tasty. Would definitely go here again for a mid week meal.”

“What a fantastic pup me and my family have been going here for 20 years, plus it's a great atmosphere. It's in a lovely countryside setting. The food is amazing. I can honestly say it's the best burger I have ever eaten. The meat was packed full of juices, flame grilled, and tender meat. My grandad had the beef lasagna he said it was absolutely amazing. everything is homemade and fresh. The staff are wonderful, great service. 5 stars all around ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ would definitely always come here.”
