“I come from Colorado in the States, the land of craft breweries. We literally are the top state for breweries in the US. For the last 30 years, since uni, I have been drinking microbrews. Shiny Tap is legit! I had the 4 Wood Cask Bitter. Absolutely brilliant. Smooth, easy drinking. Then had the Double Damson. If you aren't used to a sour, haven't had one, try it. Wow. Very impressed. Outdoor seating area is tops.”

“Without a doubt my favourite place to buy beer. Even more so now that I can sit outside and enjoy them on site! Incredibly refreshing to go to a bottle shop full of independent brewers and it not just be wall to wall with IPAs and lagers - that's not to say there aren't plenty to choose from if that's your interest. There really is something for everybody (be sure to ask the incredibly knowledgeable owner), and as a fan of darker beers I really do appreciate the amount of choice on offer compared to many other places that I have tried, from Porters and Stouts all the way through to Trappists and beyond.”

“Popped in because perfect draft said they now had their kegs at Majestic Wine & I'd never visited before. Have recently been purchasing Budvar Czech beer from lidl but these guys have it at a great price. Allowed me to sample Port. Also a good selection of Crisps. Good selection of Wine to go with my Shin of beef and other slow cooker meals”

“Had the most enjoyable lunch. We chose the Camembert to share, we have had loads of camemberts as it is one of my favourites, but I have never ever tasted one this good. We had a glass of Chardonnay to go with it and the wine was exceptional as were the people who work there. Cannot find one fault and shall definitely be returning. They stock a great range of food & drink, along with other bits & pieces for the home or even colouring books for the kids. With a very handy large carpark also, this store is a saviour for that purchase on your way home - or to a dinner out round friends.”

Shelves are always well stocked and I especially love the fresh baked goods - can’t beat a freshly baked French stick !! The staff are lovely and friendly. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the opening hours are some of the best and most convenient in Ashbourne. It carries a good range of quality frozen convenience foods and tasty bread and cake items. It is definitely my go-to store for convenience and is generally well-stocked.”

“My usual stop-off for my lunch on the way to work. Have got everything you might want, plus other stuff. Staff are helpful - this morning as I was looking through the sandwiches I was told to ask for anything I couldn't see, as they probably had it in the back (she was filling the sandwich section at the time) A mix of self-serve and staffed tills. Cash point outside. Bakery section at the back of the first aisle has some lovely bits in it (the pizza rolls are great!)”
