βMy fiancΓ©e and I walked into Your Barbers at 122 Gorgie Road for a haircut for her, and we were seen straight away by the one staff member on duty β a very professional and friendly woman. βI e alway struggled to find a Barber, one whose focus on hair cut, wasnβt just taken from a photo on their window. As such itβs taken a long time to find that place, going from place to place never really feeling like βtheyβ cared or that they knew you. Plenty hairdressers claim to be somewhere you can go and feel comfortable and they treat you the same but most of the time, youβre either βjust a customerβ or you feel like a third wheel as the barbers or hairdressers say hi to their pals. This being the case, Iβll travel anywhere I feel I can get a cut, thatβs all of these; that I feel they care and remember me, as a customer. They know how my hair grows and through my ramblings know what suits and what Iβm trying to convey. Travelling from Kirkcaldy on the bus, means I rate this place a lot. I would not travel here otherwise. The atmosphere is always nice, jovial, with banter between the barbers making a place thatβs comfortable and inviting. The shop itself is such an interesting place to be with elements around to keep your eye busy if you are of a quiet demeanour. Thereβs always great tunes on, and in late November, theyβll have a nice display in the window too. I always choose Ryan, great guy very knowledgable and just a great person to chat too. Again heβll recognise if you maybe of a more silent type, and broach conversations when theyβre appropriate and always, always and most important; he knows how to cut hair, with and without a trimmer. Most βbarber shopsβ youβll see rely far too heavily on them as the main tool; Ryanβs more old school than that. Sipping from one to other with grace. And if thereβs time or if you ask heβll do a wee bread trim and of course the obligatory eyebrow de-fuze; always a must if youβre at that age, which I am. Iβd highly recommend this place.β

βMichael gave me a fantastic curly cut. I've been going to a curly cut place in New Town for a couple of years and have never really been happy with it, but thought that must be how my hair is. Not the case....my new cut is full of layers and it now shapes/frames my face properly instead of hanging heavy. It was an enjoyable experience with all the little touches like the head massage and Michael is lovely and has a very calming demeanor, I'll definitely be back.β

βA monthly visit to Benjaminβs has become a highlight of father-son bonding. Lovely, and hilarious, gentlemen in here. Dan gets my heid done precisely in about 15 minutes, while Matt is a diplomatic genius, running the gauntlet between nine-year-old desire for a buzzcut with motherly concern brilliantly. Go here. It is good. You will get a good haircut. The end.β
