“Have been on a night as it has good rock bands on. Very loud but good atmosphere. Nice staff and also have s function room upstairs for parties. Spacious and gets busy.”

“Love this bar, always the bar we start off in when we go around town. It's only a small bar but suprising many people it can fit in and come 10 o clock on a Saturday night it's always busy. Mark the doorman is lovely and always does a good job to look after everyone. Good music and the drinks are resonobly priced.”

“From the first phone call with Andrew who catered for my requests upon this visist. I Stayed here whilst on a driving course.... The staff were lovely. Special shout out for Lindsey at Breakfast who was very warm and welcoming every morning, even at 630!. Also the young lady on the leisure centre desk who remembered me and my room number even after one visit. Too employees who just go that extra bit to make guests feel welcome. Food was lovely with a great atmosphere. Well done Village Hull....”

“My partner and I saw a review online from What's on Hull and decided to give slice and social (the pizza franchise inside Brewdog) and see what the hype is about. Well we got the chip spice and tipsy tomato 16" pizzas and we were not disappointed at all! The tipsy tomato was amazing, great balance of all the ingredients with crunches in all the right places. My partner said the chip spice pizza was brilliant, in the top 5 pizzas he's had; no overpowering saltiness, no dryness considering the chicken is dry marinated and overall left us both feeling very satisfied after a 2.5hr walk in the countryside! Can't wait to come back with friends and have some more great pizza whilst playing on the retro consoles!”

“Lovely hotel, ample parking, friendly staff, sports bar was buzzing with footie fans and the food was great here. Great pool and gym facilities which appeals to many of the locals. Greatvselection of beers and beverages. Rooms are modern and have just received a refit.”

“I have been into Humber Dock today (06/06/2025), I came in for a bite to eat and a pint. I decided I’ll play it safe and order a cheese burger and chips. Words simply cannot comprehend the fantastic quality of the burger; the freshness, the taste, the presentation and the time and care that went into assembling this simply stupendous quality meal…. I even enjoyed the onions, and I’m the polar opposite of an advocate for onions. I would highly recommend any burger lovers to come to this venue, and try it out. I paid £14.95, I would have paid £30. Satisfied is an understatement. Bar staff were also lovely and welcoming. The music was at a perfect level. Brilliant venue, surprised it wasn’t busier than what it was. Will be returning in the near future and bringing a crowd with me so they can understand how good the food was. Hats off to the chef.”

“Did a 30th birthday party for my son at Boom bar in hull , it was a brilliant night everyone enjoyed themselves, The manager was amazing from start to finish nothing was to much trouble he totally looked after everything we needed, they did all the food which was a lovely spread and plenty of it, and they cleared everything up to we didnt need to do anything but enjoy ourselves which is what we all did. The doorman was a total gent very nice guy so thoughtful and helpful and chatty , We would definately have another party there again cannot thank Robert the manager enough for taking all the stress off and making the night so successful. From the moment we arrived, Andy was welcoming, kind, and full of dry wit – the kind that makes you feel right at home. Security often gets overlooked. Not today! Andy was professional, friendly, and genuinely lovely to chat with. His warm and approachable manner really stood out – even if he insists he’s the “grumpy one.” It’s clear he takes pride in what he does, and it made our experience all the better. “Our guests are calling it, “The best kids party they have ever attended” We have just returned home from our daughter’s 10th birthday party and it was great, all the kids and adults had a great time. There’s so much choice and something to keep everyone entertained, I think the pricing for exclusive booking is more than reasonable and being able to take your own buffet is a nice touch. I’m sure this will be an ongoing party spot for us and our guests for years to come.”

“The most beautiful little wine bar I have ever seen. Filled with beautiful apothecary furniture, stone vases and olive trees to sit in here on a sunny day you could be anywhere in the world. It’s going to be my new favourite spot. Staff was very friendly and well educated about the wine they where serving.”

“Attended this pub after a funeral a couple of weeks ago. Really surprised how large it was inside. Really good service and a good selection of beers. And they put on the best food selection ever from salmon to a vegetarian selection with the best roast potatoes i have ever tasted just couldn't resist them. Well deserved the 5 stars.”

“Finally made it to The Ship. What a great little friendly pub. Excellent stouts on tap, the chocolate brownie one was lush. Wish I'd known about the Friday fish & chip meal thing (you need to order by Thursday) as it was ENORMOUS & smelled divine. They do big Sunday breakfast for a tenner, again pre-order required. Will definitely be back to this little local gem. Thanks for the hospitality :)”
