“Attended the Ringtons Tea retirees’ Christmas bash at the Novotel in York and it was exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel itself is in a cracking location just a short walk from the river and the city centre, and it has that modern, clean, relaxed feel that makes you settle in straight away. The event was handled brilliantly. The staff were outstanding – friendly, organised, and genuinely attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they kept everything running smoothly all evening, which really helped set the tone. The food was superb. Every course was well presented, piping hot and full of flavour. Christmas meals at large gatherings can be hit-and-miss, but this was one of the best I’ve had at a group event. Plates were cleared promptly, drinks topped up efficiently, and the timing between courses was spot on. The atmosphere was fantastic too – warm, festive and full of energy. The room was set up beautifully, plenty of space, great lighting, and everything felt well thought through. It made the whole celebration feel special, and it was lovely to see so many familiar faces from Ringtons enjoying themselves. Overall, Novotel York delivered an excellent evening: great service, brilliant food, a lovely festive setting, and staff who genuinely helped make the night memorable. Couldn’t have asked for more.
