“Great film school! Small but mighty! The best part about Met is the community: every lecturer is a working industry professional who has great relationships with all their students; non-teaching staff are also super friendly and know everyone's name creating an atmosphere which is very friendly but professional. As a student you will know the majority of your year group and have ample opportunities to network and socialise with other courses and year groups. (MetFilm also has the best parties in Leeds). The kit room is full of great kit available to rent out, although the process could do with streamlining. Modules are fun and very practical: you get your hands on kit a lot in lessons as well as assignments! Great place to study if you're passionate about film and/or acting!”

“My first time visiting was for the northern ballets children’s performance of the ugly duckling with my 9 month old daughter and her 2 year old cousin. Both absolutely mesmerised throughout the whole performance. A great space and even us adults loved it.”

“Superb little venue. Ultra friendly staff, good roomy seats with plenty of leg room. Nice little bar for interval drinks which were very reasonably priced. Will be keeping a watch out for future productions.”

“Excellent class for toddlers. My little girl (just 3yo) absolutely loves going to the class where we get to pretend to be anything from under water animals, to circus folk to super heroes. It’s always different, but there enough familiarity for children. To be confident and comfortable in tasks. Helen is an amazing facilitator and has worked well to support my daughter with her additional needs. I would highly recommend anyone attending.”

“I would 100% recommend LB. We went to the open day not really knowing what to expect but it was so well organised and I was very impressed. My daughter came out buzzing and couldn't wait to start. Since then the support and encouragement she has been given has made sure that she has grown in confidence so much. She absolutely loves going to LB and has made some great friends. The shows that they put on are amazing and you can tell they all work so hard. She has such a lovely relationship with all the teachers there as they treat them all as individuals and there is a mutual respect. I know it can sometimes be hard working with teenagers but LB have nailed it. Thank you so much for all you guys do for the kids.”

They taught me so much about being both in front of and behind the camera, as well as the industry as a whole, leading me to study TV and film production in college.
