Authentic restaurant experience in Orpington

“My 1st visit was November 24 and somehow I got mixed feelings for this place. After reading good reviews and that they have been rewarded one of the best when I went there felt a little disappointing. Stuff were absolutely chaotic and shouting to one another not paying attention to clients. The menu was missing many meals who can you have a fish section and only serve prawns and no other fish. I ordered keema naan and it was crispy and had like a blob of meat in the middle. Most of the food I eat in other places is far better. The atmosphere with this blue light is blinding.”

“Our favorite restaurants in Orpington and we go there often. The lobster dish is absolutely delicious and perfect for two people to share. The best we had for a lobster dish. Lots of good seafood dishes that you won’t find in other restaurants around here. The salads is delicious that even I who isn’t a big fan of salad like it. Their children menu is also good. We particularly like the nutritious and healthy fish and veggies dish for our son. He cleared the whole plate. Very friendly staff and chefs. The price is very good too for what you get. Highly recommend it.”

“Great restaurant with tasty food and excellent customer service. Special thanks to Tatiana who was very friendly and attentive up until we left! The portion sizes were very generous and the restaurant was clean and spacious. We didn’t wait too long for our starters or main course which was great. They have a small parking space which holds around 4 cars but there are also residential roads available to park outside restricted times. Would definitely recommend for some tasty Turkish food.”

“Me and my wife came here and I honestly have no bad words to say. Firstly the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and just pleasant to be around. They seemed to enjoy working there which is always good to see. The food was incredible and loved everything we ordered and the staff even helped pick and amended orders to please us. Again great service. The place itself is lovely with music in the background at the perfect volume as not too loud or quiet. Also had an old fashioned cocktail which was very very good (and I’m a stickler for an old fashioned!). Will definitely be coming back again”

“I went for a meal here for my friends birthday, had a great time and the food was tasty and filling. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. I didn’t have too much food wise, but my friends meals looked amazing. For my drink I had a sex on the beach cocktail, and it was great for the value.”

“Great food and attentive waiters. New items on the menu which look good so we will be back to try. Popular with our friends who travel from outside of Orpington to enjoy. Only slight comment is about the lighting, please please change ‘bright’ light bulbs for ‘soft’ light bulbs to make a better ambience. Just turning them down doesn’t really work as they are too harsh but everything else Amazing.”

“I booked an afternoon tea in a pod for myself, my mum and my aunt today. I have to say that Fiona was absolutely AWESOME!! She attended to our every request with a smile and some great chatter. Fiona is a true asset to the Mulberry Tree at Ruxley! GIVE HER A RAISE!!! The food was outstanding too. A really lovely afternoon tea with the best scone I have ever had in my life. So thank you to Fiona for making our afternoon so special. And thanks to the kitchen for the beautiful food. I booked this afternoon tea as an early Mother’s Day treat and I am so glad we went. It was perfect and I highly recommend!”

“We had the most amazing experience with the Greek Way. Katerina and her team were so friendly and accommodating to our needs. They travelled roughly 60 miles to us and the food still came hot and fresh. Everyone absolutely loved it at our work event. The tzatziki was beyond mouth-watering we would have all eaten a tub each! The meats were super tender and we had great options for our vegetarian's and vegans. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Greek caterer - we wouldn't look to go anywhere else. “What an absolutely incredible experience I had finding this random gem in Orpington when out with my mum on May 3rd bank holiday. This was before restrictions were lifted so we were seated outside but given blankets to wrap up in, and had the most amazing service from our waitress Karina! She was so attentive and just a star!! It was soooo windy but that didn’t dampen our experience whatsoever. We each had a managal combo plate (spicy chicken and lamb chops which were humongous) with bulgur wheat, spicy rice, and 2 types of salad. The home made bread was lush. Cooked to perfection and even given mint tea and baklava on the house after! Couldn’t recommend this place more and thank you Ozzy for stopping to chat with us after! And Karina for being such a genuine sweetheart when catering to us. Can’t wait to come back for my mums birthday, delicious food, fantastic prices, and fabulous staff!”

“Was welcomed promptly and taken to our seats even though we had no reservations (recommended on weekends). Food was of high quality and served promptly. The service was warm and welcoming and we were treated to live instrumental and vocal music and belly dancing on the Saturday we went. We loved the experience and this is definitely on our list of 'visit again' restaurants.”

“Visited for the first time this week for a birthday celebration. Booked a table through Google, easy and convenient. The mezes we had were really good, everyone enjoyed them. Almost all of them came with pitta bread. When it came to mains I had veggie spaghetti and was pretty blant, mostly consisting mashrooms and not very tasty ones, would not recommend. My other half had grill and he enjoyed it. My girls had plain spaghetti and soup of the day- tomato soup. Service was attentive and friendly. Didn't have dessert as cake was waiting at home. Atmosphere was very nice and welcoming.”
