“My great grandfather Peter Grune and his family lived in this pub. He owned several pubs but this one in particular was a favourite. I am now in my 90s! It looks like the old pubs used to be but without straw on the floor!”
“From the atmosphere, to the service and staff everything was nothing short of amazing. All the food was absolutelly amazing but the Korean fried chicken burger was the star of the show. The burger was an explosion of flavors and textures. The crispy chicken was coated in a sweet and spicy sauce topped with crunchy slaw and creamy mayo, it was one of the best burgers I had in years. Compliments to everyone. I will definitely be back.”
“Christmas chicken schnitzel was great the gravy a little salty. Atmosphere is cosy and warm.”
“We had a large family gathering planned, and the staff here couldn't have been more helpful, from helping us decide what menu items to have, arranging a set price per head, attentive service and plenty of delicious food. We had a lovely afternoon, thank you so much to the staff. Highly recommend.”
“I travel from Luton for the best Indian food around. Great genuinely Indian food with a nice garden and weather permitting. The owner Sanjay is a bonus providing service with a smile and a recommends amazing dishes. The one Churi with ice cream is a great way to finish off. Best selection of Malt whiskys too.”
“We love this place. A group of us come here for a Christmas do each year and for odd visits throughout the year and the food and service are never less than excellent. Everyone’s really friendly and the beer’s great too! Thank you.”
“A lovely friendly pub. Very popular with the locals of Croxley Green but you’re made to feel very welcome on arrival. Seating outside front garden & also out the back garden which is nice, but over looks the car park. The car park can get full at peak times but not normally a problem to find somewhere local to park. Dogs are allowed both inside & outside and on the few occasions we have visited there has always been many dogs here. The vibe seems really chill & relaxed. Food is good, I always go for the superfood salad as it’s simply the most amazing thing which sounds strange for a salad but it’s amazing!”
“Nice Harvester with plenty of space for a wheelchair. Good food at affordable prices. The disabled access toilet was a little on the chilly side for mum but she survived. Our host Tanya was charming and accommodating. Will come again.”
“Great local boozer and with plenty of screens the best place to go to watch sports. Good pub food as well.”
