“I received a lovely warm welcome in store. It looked and smelt devine. It’s just so beautiful inside. I browsed happily in a relaxed unhurried way. I was offered help but preferred to look myself. This store has a great selection of brands that I hadn’t seen before. It’s a wonderful independent boutique that has so much to offer if you’re looking for something special or some elevated everyday wear. It also has some fabulous resort wear. I was looking for a shirt to dress up and wear with jeans. The Gate Boutique had the perfect crisp white one by Second Female. It is excellent quality, and beautiful soft cotton that looks smart. There were a few I liked and was able to try in a lovely curtained changing cubicle. It was really well priced too. The Gate gives great customer service with just the right amount of friendly attention without any pressure to buy. I came away delighted by my shopping experience and my perfect shirt which is my firm favourite now. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend popping in.”

The assistant helped find the right necklace too. The clothes are a pleasure to wear and don’t fall apart after the first wearing. They certainly tell the story of our lives that’s for sure. “What a fabulous hotel! I'm travelling for work and booked an affordable hotel expecting standard facilities, but I am thoroughly highly impressed! Feel like I'm a million miles away from home, beautiful spa escape setting, surrounded by beautiful greenery, pretty decor and very friendly and welcoming staff! The gym exceeded my expectations, not just a few dumbbells a fully equipped gym with lovely big swimming pool and sauna. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!”

“I ordered my Wedding suit from AD (as the Groom) and dealt with Muss at AD in Guildford. Due to lack of Taylors in the Croydon area, I decided to head to Guildford. From the moment I stepped foot into AD, Muss was incredibly helpful, informative and helped me find my perfect suit! I picked my suit up today (because they had to order in my size of trousers). Muss was on hand whilst I tried my Wedding suit on, and discussed the best options for small modifications and tayloring. Thank you AD, I would highly recommend you for other Grooms.”

“I can't fault the detail showed by staff with regard to what the customer wants! The attention and effort is put in place. Especially from the Lady employee that dealt with me. I do warn customers that the shop in my personal opinion is vastly overpriced due to the fact after buying a shirt, I found another identical in a high street shop at a third of the price. Buy cautiously but a nice shop.”

“It was ok. Will stay here again. Typical victorian style. Bathroom was a bit small. Nice area. Breakfast was self catering and basic. Ideal for a solo traveller who just wants to crash out after a few beers.”
