“As of writing this review, I'm a Year 12 student who's been in the school for almost six years, and I'm taking A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science and French. Thus, I feel I'm more experienced than most other reviewers to talk about the school. Firstly, let me say that this is no grammar or private school. Not everyone's parents have hundreds of thousands of pounds to send their children, and not everyone finds irrational joy in studying eight hours a day every day after school. Most people are just your average person, but for me, that's perfect. You'll get to know most of the people in your year, and perhaps in the years above and below you, too. Friendship groups form quickly and easily, and many are happy to accept other students. In the older years (Year 10 onwards), people start to socialise with others outside their friendship group, and I enjoy the social scene here. In my case, being able to talk to extremely talented people is an opportunity I wouldn't exchange for anything: I've grown attached to my friends as though they were family. And, while not everyone here is a four A*-type student, we certainly get those types: every year, we have students who get all A*s and go off to Oxford or Cambridge. If you aspire to be one of those students, don't write off Claremont just because you think you'll do better by going to another school! The teachers are also incredibly polite, for the most part. (Of course, there are teachers who the younger students would consider strict, but as you grow older, you'll see that it's just the different teaching personalities they adopt, and in reality, they aren't really that strict after all—your class were just really annoying!) They devote plenty of time and effort into ensuring every student succeeds academically and as a person. Their lessons are usually very well-planned, but their devotion to their students truly shines when one of them asks for help or discusses a topic with a teacher that they're both passionate about. This is especially helpful in the Sixth Form, where you'll often find yourself wanting to stimulate your own interest in the subject! Every week, we also hold competitions and clubs for all lower years, from sports to chess; we also have a few more unorthodox ones such as a cybersecurity/hacking club. The extracurricular scene is a bit lacking for the Sixth Form, though, but since you're allowed to leave when you don't have lessons, you probably won't need it. We have an active student body which includes a Prefect Team and a Student Voice, both of which allow students to suggest changes to improve the school. And while Claremont is by no means perfect, I thoroughly enjoy my time here, and I could not imagine having a better experience at any other school.”

    LEO School UK

    ★★★★☆ 4.3

“My daughter has been studying at Leo School for a year now. She really likes it. We came to the school in January, then English was practically zero, my daughter was 7 years old. Currently, my daughter is in the 3rd grade and communicates perfectly with the teacher, just a year later. I also took individual English lessons with a native speaker, and I really like everything, I really feel the progress. In the future, I plan to send my son to this school when he grows up. Online learning is very convenient, there is no stress and the children are safe in such a difficult time. Many thanks to the teachers, curators, director and creators of the school.”

“Today, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 7m digital planetarium experience to all 200 Nursery to Year 6 pupils at Micklefield School. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and found the hall prepared just as I had requested. The day was well organised with all groups arriving on time. The excited but well-behaved students enjoyed a rich selection of content: voyaging with Charles Darwin to the Galapagos on the HMS Beagle; learning about dinosaurs and the origin of birds; and diving under the waves to explore coral reefs and the deepest oceans. Thank you Micklefield School for a very pleasant visit.”

“A Wonderful Experience with the Summer Club Team – Thank You! I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the entire Summer Club Team for the outstanding care, professionalism, and warmth they have shown throughout the programme. My daughter, Zara Tokhee, attends the club, and as a very shy child, I was initially quite anxious about how she would adapt to the environment. From day one, however, my concerns were quickly eased. Every single member of the team demonstrated genuine kindness, patience, and attentiveness, creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all the children. One particular gentleman who manages the attendance stands out – he is incredibly friendly, respectful, and approachable. His warm greeting each morning helped Zara feel comfortable and gave me reassurance as a parent. It’s clear that the staff go above and beyond to personally check on each child, ensuring they are settled, happy, and engaged. What impressed me most is how the team made efforts to communicate with Zara regularly, gently encouraging her to come out of her shell. Their approach has been both compassionate and consistent. To see her begin to interact, smile, and enjoy herself has been a true joy. As a parent, nothing is more comforting than seeing your child thrive in a nurturing environment. The team at Summer Club are not only dedicated and hard-working, but they are also deeply passionate about the well-being of the children in their care. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are exceptional. I can’t thank them enough for the positive experience they’ve given my daughter. Thank you once again to the entire Summer Club Team – You are truly amazing, and your efforts have made a lasting impact. Warm regards, A grateful parent Mother of Zara Tokhee”

“Great School - strict but although children initially find it hard to follow rules, most get used to them and don't get stressed. Students are proud to wear their uniforms and are well behaved. Having a school like this will prepare them for life. Learning self discipline and good values cannot be wrong.”
