“You know that moment when you walk into an Italian Bengali restaurant and your brain hesitates? Like… is this going to be another chaotic, Bangla-fusion-gone-wrong, 47-page menu, customer-service-optional situation? Or just maybe a proper Italian spot that makes you think, “Hey hey hey… we might have something here.” Well, I’m glad to report: this place is firmly in the hey hey hey category. The lasagne and the carbonara (halal, of course) absolutely slapped. One bite and I was instantly transported back to my backpacking days in Milan and Rome minus the hostel bunk beds and questionable Wi-Fi. The pizza? Banging. The pasta? Spot on. The lasagne? A hug from Nonna herself. Now yes… I do question their 1,000-item menu, including a full English breakfast, burgers and probably a weather forecast. But somehow, this Italian-Bengali joint is a hidden gem, and the guys in the kitchen genuinely do the Italian dishes the Italian way. Pay them a visit. Support a local business (in cash, IYYK). They do accept card as well but there are some cash deals for collection which are great. The atmosphere and tables are like an east end cafe but the food is banging. Your taste buds will thank you and me.”

“The food is so good that it reminded me of my homeland. I ordered creamy chicken and it was something else, and it comes with bread and butter. The butter is another story, it was the one that reminded me of my homeland. The final one, the desert that we ordered, Trilige, was soft and juicy, incredible!”

“Wow wow wow .. went into this place for a bacon roll and noticed some chicken on the griddle that looked amazing and straight away changed my mind and went for daily special . It was amazing and the size of the meal was crazy large . The chicken was perfectly seasoned the rice was cooked to perfection and the salad had a great dressing .. all I can say was this meal was delicious and perfect. Definitely see you again and thank you”

“This is the third time I have been to Brothers Cafe and it certainly won't be the last time. Everything about this place is great! The food is great, extremely tasty. The service is first class and the atmosphere of the cafe is superb. You are always welcomed with a smile and a genuine desire to provide great service. Every member of staff is always polite. “1. Nice peaceful place to be if you want to spend quality time, but money was taken twice in my account trying to call to understand why never anyone answered no good service. I could have given 5 stars but they missed the chance 2. My second feedback I change my feed back from 3 to 5 stars as I mentioned above I liked the place, I went back again to find out why my money was taken twice. This nice and beautiful waitress came up to me saying I left behind my cards and driving licence, she run after me but not see me anywhere, the only way to attract my attention was to tap a £5 pounds bill. Long story short, they gave me my £5 back and my cards, we spend a very time talking with my family there and my little one loved the cake. Thank you Bruce for your kind gesture and service and apologise for misunderstanding you. As I said to your Boss change the contact number and make someone available to answer. See you again next time”

“I hope this cafe never closes and helped to be maintained and be even better. The cafe is so important to families and the local community. Sadly Barking has become an absolute rookery , and barking park once being a landmark is one of the very few things left that gives the town any appeal and would be in despair without it. Keep the cafe, and the warm friendly people who run it and ai hope the local government make it even great again.”

“A full English in East London for a tenner in 2024?! Someone pinch me! What a delicious hidden gem in East Ham! Why it was empty at 9:30am is beyond belief, but hey, no complaints from me. Coffee (delicious, I must say) and toast included as well. There's gotta be a catch somewhere, right? I've been back a few times since discovering this place, and the owners have been incredibly polite, with the food spot-on every time. Thank you, Pop-In Cafe!”

“10/10 and I am fussy when it comes to cafe food as I find most cafes don’t cook their food Throughly. The food was absolutely perfect couldn’t fault it one bit. Price is reasonable, some may even say the prices are within budget. The lady who took my order came Out of her way to ask me about how I want my eggs and meat, you don’t get this service anywhere else. I’m excited to go back next time I am on the barking road. Definitely would recommend this place”

“A brilliant little cafe in Dagenham down an industrial estate that serves some incredible food (CASH ONLY before I forget). I had the double cheeseburger and chips and it cost 6 quid..... yeah you read that right £6, it is absolutely on point too the chips aren't floppy, soggy, under done, crispy, burnt, they're the most perfect chips I have come across and the burger meat isn't hard or rough, nit even burnt round the edges, a nice juicy soft mouthwatering burger. The portion size well just look at it, for £6 it's the price of a McDonald's meal, I know which till I'd rarther put my money into. Staff are friendly, it was a relaxed laid back place when I went which was this morning at about 9am (Friday) if it doesn't say for future viewers of this review. My colleague had the breakfast too, set 5 if I remember correctly, I didn't get a photo but it was the size of the breakfast other reviewers have posted so that hasn't changed either”

“Popped in this morning to get a berry cooler to take the edge off this heatwave. Service was quick and friendly and I was in an out in no time at all. Is worth noting that there is a step into the store. I was with a wheelchair user but was in a rush so didn't try to get them into the store so apologies if a ramp is available on request. If it is it may be worth replying to this for future reference for others as well as myself. Reading older reviews I wasnt sure what to expect but I genuinely couldn't fault the staff at all and will absolutely be stopping by again if I'm in that part of town”

“I had an amazing experience at this Nigerian restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and cooked with so much authenticity. I had Abula and it tasted like home. I could tell the ingredients were fresh, and the portions were generous. They could do a little more with the restaurant, some clean up and repairs but the staff made me feel right at home. If you’re looking for the best Nigerian food, this is definitely the spot. Highly recommend!”
