“Loved this place. Little pub with mostly locals but everyone was so nice and welcoming. There was live Irish music and it was just an incredibly pleasant experience. Would recommend.”
“Great little local kebab shop. Wonderful, friendly owners. The food is really fantastic - I especially love the chunky lamb shish!! The lamb doner with chips and salad is also fab. Great portion sizes too. We often get either lunch or dinner from here :)”
“What a transformation! Not been inside for many years although it should be our 'local'. Went in to have a drink and look round, stayed for lunch and another drink. Staff friendly and welcoming. Range of drinks is good and food excellent. Will certainly be going back”

“As always lovely atmosphere and a nice crowd.”
“A Harrow Landmark – The Castle, 30 West Street, HA1 Nestled just a short walk from the famous Harrow School, The Castle is a charming 18th‑century pub that proudly retains its original fixtures and fittings. It’s a place where history meets modern hospitality, offering classic British cuisine, cask ales, and a welcoming atmosphere. What makes it special: Cuisine: British pub staples — scotch eggs, chicken supreme, venison, and hearty Sunday roasts. Desserts: Yorkshire pudding, ice cream, and biscuits are popular choices. Drinks: A good selection of scotch, lager, craft beer, and teas. Atmosphere: Homely and relaxed, ideal for winding down after a busy day. Heritage: The pub’s 18th‑century character adds a unique charm, making it stand out among Harrow’s venues.”

“Pleasantly surprised! The room was lovely and even though the room I booked was not air conditioned l, it was quite cool! 10 minute walk to South Harrow station which is served by the Piccadilly Line and a 5 minute bus ride to Harrow-on-the-Hill for the Metropolitan Line. Bus stop is in front of the hotel and buses are extremely frequent, every 5 to 8 minutes.”
“Nice little pub in harrow on the hill. There i seating both upstairs and downstairs. They play good music and although it's a bar, the later it get it sort of turns into a mini club and people dance. The vibe is live on a weekend. They have a variety of drinks and are not too expensive. The toilets are clean and kept well. The staff are very friendly and helpful.”
“I popped into The George in Harrow recently and was really impressed with how much it’s changed since the new owner took over. The vibe is genuinely friendly — staff were chatty and welcoming, and it had that easy, relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Watched the football there, and I loved that you could see the screens clearly no matter where you sat, which was perfect. Drinks were decently priced too, so it didn’t feel like you were getting stung just to enjoy a pint. And it’s spotless. Like, noticeably clean. I’ll definitely be heading back!”
“Excellent service and friendly staff. Great place to grab a drink and the food wasn't half bad either. 10/10 would recommend. And shout out to charley for the excellent service. Really went the extra mile and was able to have a great laugh while doing a great job. Definitely coming back.”
“The food was great good service I enjoy”
“First visit since the Café was refurbished and the seating layout is a lot better for those of us with mobility issues, clear walkways between tables and the whole area feels more spacious. Food is always good and staff friendly. For those in wheelchairs its all level access and there is a disabled toilet close by.”
“Pasta Bolognese tastes amazing even that’s a takeaway. Pizza also looks nice, will definitely try next time!”
“Hidden gem in NW10. Authentic Portuguese at a very reasonable price. The chicken is delicious, the beer is cold and the staff are great. What more could one want?”
“The BEST Smash burger I have ever had in London! This Southampton Arms has the most delicious food ever!!! Me and a friend just happened upon the place but have already been back 3 times in the last month. The drink selection is great but the food is unbelievable!!!”
“The food breathes the dedication of the staff to continuously upgrade and improve the menu. It's mouthwatering and flavoursome. So much so, it's had me travel more than an hour (each way) on two consecutive Saturdays. Although they're buzzing and busy, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful, greeting everyone with a smile. This is what burger joints should be like. If you're not doing it the FBK way, you're not doing it right! Bravo!”
“What an absolute gem of a find this is! Great Irish pub with decent people and a good selection of beers! Rathi is absolutely amazing and can pour a perfect Guinness!!! Nice selection of 70s 80s music too!!! A pint costs £4.30 where else in London I get done for £7.30!!!”
“Best Guinness in Harrow! Such a great vibe - best and friendliest landlady ever and always a great craic! Lisa will always make you feel welcome! Great for sports too! Very reasonable prices!”
“Always love the food. The cheese selection is amazing, the pies are divine and recently I tried the liver with bacon and polished the whole thing off. The service is friendly and attentive. The pub is dog friendly. They have a nice garden for the summer and a nice fireplace for the winter.”
“I had an outstanding experience at Black Horse that truly deserves a perfect score. The food was exceptional—each dish was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in the ingredients and preparation is evident, making every bite a delight. The customer service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. They went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met, creating a welcoming environment that encourages guests to return. Overall, Black Horse is a shining example of how excellent food combined with top-notch service can create a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal! “A taste of Morocco on Harrow road. Great atmosphere with a friendly and kind owner, it’s a great place to eat, have some tea or some sweet snacks. There is a lot of seating and there is easy on street parking. We will definitely return.”
“A clean and comfortable stay with excellent service. I stayed 1 night and was ill and the staff were wonderful- brought me water and offered a late check out. The room was quiet and pleasant decor, would stay again.”
“Went in for beers and not disappointed. This pub was my local for a few years and it has always been a good pub. They have redecorated and the pub looks better and has more comfortable seating. The lager is great! The lines are looked after and the point is as fresh as you like. Staff are friendly and the clientele are pleasant too. This its possibly one of the cheapest pubs around with a pint costing £4.20-4.80 roughly (can't remember precisely).”
