“My son loves going to nursery now. He excitedly runs to get to press the doorbell to go in and comes out smiling at pick up. It wasn't an easy start for him as he hadn't been away from me apart from with a couple of other family members before. Staff were accommodating and mindful of his needs and discussed with me how to help him settle and worked to find a strategy that made him feel nursery was a safe space. They were also very kind when I had my own little wobble as I was feeling worried about the whole situation. I love that new activities are set up each day. Pictures of these and of what the kids are up to are posted on the private parents facebook group a couple times a day. It means we can show my son and chat about his day and what is going on at nursery. It helps build his speech, but also allows us to learn more about who is important to him at nursery and what he enjoys even though he isn't yet able to express it fully in words. My son enjoys being outside. With the nursery's vast garden and free flow between in and outdoors most of the time, he clearly makes the most of it. Good wipe down coat advisable.”

Our little girl started at 2 and is about the go into to primary school and our little boy Felix (2) started recently and they couldn’t be happier. “My son went to PlayDays nursery and Ms Kerry and her team have took care of him really well for the last 6 months. My son joined the nursery when he was around 8 months old, with the team doing a home visit to introduce themselves to my son and performed a detailed profiling of his likes and dislikes and daily routine. During the first day of the settling I still remember that the key teacher started to introduce him to the new friends and toys and gradually make him feel more comfortable. The settling sessions were really good to slowly step up with the hours per day, which helps with the separation anxiety for first time parents. My son started off crying whenever we dropped him off and slowly he progressed to waving bye to me after a couple of weeks, which gave me the comfort that he’s enjoying himself there. The staffs were really enthusiastic and seems very passionate about giving the best they could for the babies. They take them out for walks, create art pieces with them, did lots of fun play, take lots of photos and share with us about their growth, they hand write daily journals and note down all the big moments that we may have missed and keep us updated everyday about the fun they had. There are of course days that my son is unwell and they really put in the effort to take extra care and follow our instructions to them closely and give us timely feedback. We truly appreciate all the work that they done for us!”

“Les Petites Etoiles has become an extension of our family. We absolutely love this nursery, the caretakers and all the staff. It's clear they are very invested in our children, and my children are always so happy to go to nursery every day which is all we can ask for. They took my daughter in at 6 months, and they saw her grow into a thriving toddler and have cared for her along every step of the way. They also have a really great outdoor space and are outside rain or shine, which is important for us! And I can't speak more highly of their food. My children eat better at nursery than at home! I couldn't recommend LPE more highly, any child who is lucky enough to go here will have a wonderful experience.”

Additionally, the nursery offers various ad-hoc booking sessions that make our lives easier. While these depend on availability, they are extremely beneficial, particularly the "early starter" option, which we frequently use. “A lovely and caring local nursey. My son has been there since he was nine months old. I took him out to another nursery for a few months in the summer thinking that he would enjoy bigger garden space but he never did. We returned to SBS and he's been happy since. They organise Christmas play and summer activities allowing parents to join. My kid sometimes sings Christmas songs at home and I know that he's been practising for the Christmas play. Another plus is that parents in the nursery know each other because there is a playground just right outside of the nursery and plenty of opportunity for parents to exchange info during pick up time. I would recommend SBS.”

“We came across chickywicks by pure chance but immediately fell in love with its homley,loving, caring environment and staff. After our daughter not settling at her previous nursery it was a huge nerve racking step to try again with chickywicks. Our daughter settled immediately we could not believe how happy she went in after how stressful things had been previously. Not only did the chickywicks team make Ada feel completely secure and happy but they also made a very anxious mum feel exactly the same. Every member of staff go above and beyond to make sure any concern or worry was just immediately forgotten. I truly believe that every single one of the team feel passionately about meeting every child's individual needs. Every member of the team are always so friendly and welcoming they not only cared for Ada but they all knew her personality inside out, they always knew at drop off if Ada was having a wobble and made sure they were extra supportive which is exactly what Ada needed. Chickywicks really are just like one big family and although they gave Ada everything she needs to move on, as her parents we would have kept Ada at chickywicks forever! We were not ready for Adas chickywicks journey to end. So from the very bottom of our hearts thank you to all the team at Chickywicks. “Our little child started nursery when he was 11months old and had a quite complex heart condition. The compassion and determination from the Boys and Girls Nursery Stanmore to cater for his complexities and ensure they could take our son on was brilliant. Even before he started they went over and beyond to speak to all of the healthcare professionals to ensure that they could fully cater for our sons needs. From Amy and Chloe and Sharon for all the admin things to get him over the line. From Rachel and team in nursery where they got him turning over (even though he was months delayed) to then crawling and walking. To then Lisa/ Amelia and team in pre-toddlers post his operations helping him build the strength to do all of the activities and become a chatter box. To then Sinead and team in toddlers to then prep him to join his new school.
