“A fantastic family-run pet and livestock shop near Downe. We use this mainly for chicken feed and bedding and are really grateful for the availability, good opening hours and competitive pricing. Big table in the window seated us all (7) and was a lovely setting. Sunday Brunch all round; Eggs Benedict, Crushed Arvo on toast. All food excellent. If I lived locally I’d be here very weak!”

“Don Giovanni is the closest Italian food experience we’ve had since we’ve been to Italy. This little gem deserves so much hype and recognition. Their staff are also really lovely. “Lovely, clean and friendly salon with staff who have the time and knowledge to help, whether you want a big change (like my recent Brazilian blow dry) or just a trim. Great cuts and colours every time from Emma, the lovely owner. The new nail bar has been great, a welcome addition to the salon. Nessa is knowledgeable, skilled and easy going. Overall, highly recommended!”

“One of the best cinemas in south London. Reasonably priced tickets, spacious, and every seat is a recliner. Only downside is the speakers behind some of the screens sometimes carry such heavy reverb that the image has visible ripples. Not a deal breaker, but noteworthy as it's an impact to the biggest perk of the cinema experience - the high quality visual experience you can't get at home.”

“I have lived in the local area for a number of years and have seen this fish and chips shop operate under different management a few times. I popped in yesterday for fish and chips and sausages and was completely taken by surprise, the shop looks amazing, really really amazing. The family who run the business (Dad and three sons) were all working and were very welcoming. The menu has everything you would expect, and they still serve fried chicken (yum). The prices are as you would expect, no meal deals as yet - but they have only recently opened so maybe something for the future. The chips are delicious... really moreish. I heard once that you can judge a fish and chips restaurant by the chips and they were an accurate indication of the quality of the food. Fish portion was perfectly cooked and larger then expected, batter was light and fluffy, as with the battered sussage. Savaloy had the desired initial crunch while not being dry. I wish I had taken a photo of the place to go with the review. If you live locally have a walk past - looks amazing.”
