“My little girl has settled in really well here… thanks to the team of amazing teachers here. I was looking for somewhere that offered a balance of fun, play and learning and the way Jo and her team have blended all those components together is nothing less than incredible. Another factor was the menu to Enid’s eat… I’m a health coach and the meals are curated by a child nutritionist and Delilah is eating food that I have tried to implement but without little success … she happily eats sweet and sour chicken, Mexican stew, roast turkey and even salmon and mascarpone pasta! Also the behaviour that I expect from my little one is instilled here to, table manners, kindness, speaking vs shouting have all helped Delilah (a blended little girl of Italian /Irish heritage) getting her behaviour on point. I couldn’t be happier and I’m confident that Delilah’s transition to reception will be seamless thanks to all the preparation that she would have taken”

After viewing many preschool sites in the local area, this one stood out for numerous reasons, including the size of the outdoor play space. The children already attending and staff welcomed us into the setting. We felt a warmth and a home from home feeling instantly. I was really impressed with the quality of the equipment, teaching and range of resources offered. I really felt that the adults listened to the individual needs of the children in their care. It was so refreshing and heart warming to see.”

“I would highly recommend this nursery all the staff are very nice welcoming they all settle children into nursery so quickly there very caring teachers that always keep you up to date with everything and always reply back to phone calls or messages very quickly all of my 4 girls went there and everyone of them loved it . If I had more who needed to go to nursery it would defo 100% be this nursery they would go to the teachers speak everyday telling you how your child’s been and the children even get taken in the park to play as well as the nursery ground thank you for all you have to done to help all my girls progress and be ready for infant school x”

“From the very first visit, I had that wonderful feeling that Sofia’s setting was the right place for my son. Sofia’s home is a caring, fun, and stimulating environment, full of adventures and learning. The activities Sofia does with the children are fantastic — trips out, learning how to care for each other, playing and exploring, arts and crafts, and helping Josiah get ready to start school in September. The list is endless! As Josiah has grown, I’ve seen how the activities have changed and developed, especially during the time when the younger children nap. These activities clearly help prepare the older ones for the next chapter of school life. Josiah has certainly been well prepared for school by Sofia — from being able to put on his shoes and coat and zip them up, to holding a pencil correctly and using scissors — all while still having plenty of time to play and have fun. Personally, I feel that being in a childminder’s setting, where Josiah has been able to grow and interact with both older and younger children over the past four years, has been invaluable. There has been so much peer learning — caring for younger friends and learning from older ones — something you don’t always get in a nursery setting where children are often separated by age.
