“Went to Everyman Esher to see the Bruce Springsteen live movie. It was enjoyable, though Bruce isn’t really my thing. What really made the night special was the service. Jimmy is an absolute star, he is attentive, and always goes above and beyond and lives to serve. We always order plenty of drinks, and he often looks after us brilliantly. Kenneth is fantastic too, and the young woman on the bar is always so friendly and welcoming. The burger was delicious as always. My only small suggestion would be to add an artichoke dish to the menu as it’s such an underrated ingredient in the UK. We’re regulars for a reason. Great food, great staff, and a great atmosphere! And they play films in the cinema, and you can eat pop corn and snacks with food and drinks, beverages and juice and beer too. Or just chill out, and have a sweet little time!”

“Cote in Esher is our go-to for a quality meal and great atmosphere. We've been going for over a decade. Imagine our surprise when we were waited on by Vanessa. She was an absolute delight! “Recently refurbished village pub and hotel. Great new menu, friendly staff, brilliant playlist, surprisingly superb Amaretto Sours! And even a great spot for a morning coffee after your dog walk. The doggy delights station is a favourite for four legged friends.”

“I had a great experience at this great pub located just off Esher high street. I had great communication from Liam to confirm my booking of 20 guys. He arranged a room for us upstairs, took table service for lunch and we were so well cared for by Sam. He was very attentive to us. The whole group had great things to say about their food. An excellent pub for a Sunday roast.”

“Our visit to the Bear for a meal was brilliant. We went to the cinema before, and because I knew we’d be arriving late on a Sunday (3:45) I specified what roast we’d like just incase they were running low. Anyway, the team did a great job holding our food back for us as requested as they did run out. It was delicious! Lovely cosy calm atmosphere too (and my Irish boyfriend loved his Guinness).”

“I held my 40th here in March and from initial meeting to the end of the evening Tad and his colleagues could not have been more helpful or kind. The venue is perfect - cool decor, great staff, delicious drink offerings and an element of cool/different. The food options on offer were ideal. I would hugely recommend!”

“Absolutely fabulous lunch, we have never seen such an extensive menu - I am disabled, the proprietor and a member of staff literally carried me in from the pavement into the restaurant on one of their chairs, I could not ask for such exemplary kindness and the food and the choices were out of this world! We cannot recommend this gem opposite Claygate Green more highly!”

“Delighted to recommend Hummings at Home. We used the team to help out with our daughter’s 18th birthday party at home. A pleasure to have Lewis behind the bar serving a lively group while keeping things sensible. Bouncers Chessy and Leon provided a safe space for the kids to have fun while being respectful of our home. Hummings proprietor was very attentive making sure his team arrived on time and checking they had everything they needed to do a brilliant job. All supported behind the scenes by Mahathi who expertly understood our requirements and matched the team to our needs. I would highly recommend the Hummings team to support any event in the home - helpful, flexible and very professional. Thanks guys!”

“A wonderfully unique mini brewer just outside the Claygate station. I think there was 3 beers on when we were there including a beautiful dark ale. The beers we had were lovely but sadly no notes were taken. If you're in Claygate, give it a go.”

“Booked a table for an hour. Still under lockdown rules but felt safe outside and despite being essentially a car park in an industrial site it was relaxing a ok surroundings. Maybe the excellent microbrew helped. Tried several and based on the result I bough a box more. Really enjoyed the cold spark.”

“We went there for Xmas dinner. The prawns were floating in a sea of oil. Avoid The sea bass was cooked perfectly We sat outside under heated cover but it was still quite cold”

“My wife, my son and I visited The Wheatsheaf to celebrate my wife’s birthday.The food and service were excellent. I had turkey and the amount of meat was a lot more than I expected. I would also recommend the Camembert sharing plate which we had as a starter. It was a little loud for my taste but it was pre-Christmas and there was a large group near us that were celebrating a little loudly. Amount spent below includes drinks and gratuity.”

“Absolutely wonderful little pub set very much in suburbia. The outdoor seating in the front as we entered was being well used with TVs up for football etc. The barman was very friendly as were the locals inside. And when the sign above the door says 'Mind your head', mind your bloody head!! It hurts!! Anyway, the Guinness was superb as was the Surrey Hills brewery Ranmore.”

“My goodness this restaurant is incredible and delicious! We had a big party of 8 people and service was remarkable. Beautiful atmosphere and wide variety of menu options and lots of gluten free options! Alex took such great care of all of us and went out of his way to make sure all of my dishes were celiac friendly! I highly recommend this spot. The Patatas Bravas were particularly delicious! “The lovely pub hosted our daughter's 40th Birthday party in the side room off the main bar. We were able to decorate the room and also to have a local guitarist entertain us together with a fab face painter. Our party was able to order yummy food and drinks from the bar. I can't thank Nick and his super staff more. Highly recommend this great pub..”

“My dad took me here and at first I was sceptical, as I’m very much a beginner in spice and not always in the mood for a late dinner night out. But once I was there I didn’t want to go! The staff and very helpful, nice and definitely know their Indian food! And the spice? Don’t worry, from beginners to spice pros it’s perfect! There’s a lot of effort put into this great restaurant! Definitely, undoubtedly recommend!”

“Debbie provided us with a delicious afternoon tea following a family funeral. Everything was freshly made and delivered perfectly on time. Our guests had nothing but praise for the food, including a great selection of sandwiches, canapes, including mini quiches and vol-au-vents, cakes, scones and fresh fruit tarts. “Came here for a friend’s birthday for cocktails and dinner and really enjoyed it. We arrived just after happy hour had finished but had called ahead and Ajay very kindly extended the offer for us to enjoy some of the fab Margaritas. Food was amazing (we chose mostly from the Indian selection). Ajay was a friendly and hospitable host and we will be back to try a few more dishes and cocktails!”

“A friend suggested The Prince of Wales for lunch and it did not disappoint! It's not long been refurbished and it looks fabulous, complete with private dining, by the looks of it. Their outdoor space is one of the best I've experienced, with much of it sheltered if it does start to rain. We spent hours there with no pressure to vacate. Karen and her team are all experienced, friendly and exceptionally professional. Many thanks, Karen, we will be back!”
