“We have been going to waterhead Tandoori for quite a few years now, and after promising we will leave a review, it's not before time. If you want excellent well prepared and cooked food, this is the place. The food is always excellent, the service is prompt, the premises are so clean you could literally eat your meal off the floor, and Al, is the nicest most polite guy you could ever hope to meet. He's always pleasant, upbeat, and is genuinely interested in how your day has been. The chefs are on full view hard at work, and everything seems to run like clockwork. Myself and Christine, cannot recommend this place enough. Thanks again to Al and his team of excellent chefs, we will continue to buy our curries from this clean, pleasant, well run establishment. “A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.”

“Open for 2months, were went for the first time and everyone loved it. We were quick to be seated, staff very helpful and courteous. Enjoyed the meal, the settings are very plush and modern. Will be back with bigger family. Mixed started flavours were spots on, the Sanah special burger was tasty and the naan were some of the best around. Bit pricey but you certainly worth it.”

“I've been using this chippy for the last 40yrs plus and it is by far the best in the area Sue the owner is great although I think she's retired now and her children run it,if you fancy a Chinese then give this place a try ,you won't be disappointed.”

“Went there last minute as our other plans didn't work out. I have to say I was shocked by how good the food was as I hadn't heard anything about the place. First of all I love the decor. They have made a really nice and cosy environment. And the food was just beautiful. I will definitely go back. The young staff were so good and well mannered.”

“I came here today with my dog & it was like stepping back in time to my grandmas kitchen on a Saturday morning in the nicest way . The staff was so welcoming and warm especially with me having the dog . The atmosphere was just so wholesome it really felt like I was just in my grans kitchen . The decor is very very clean & the food was absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had . But hers sausage and bacon perfect orange yoky eggs with load of yoke , thick cut toast . Everything about it was beautiful so it looks like il be driving 40 mins for a breakfast every week . I also went alone with the dog which I’ve never ate alone before and not once did I felt uncomfortable.”

“This pub is not part of your normally brewery chain. It's back to the old days were a couple run the bar with their lovely team. The pub is clean and warm and appears to have been recently modernised. It has a homely feel, friendly atmosphere, reasonable priced drinks and a wide variety of gins and tonics which we enjoyed trying.”

“This venue is absolutely incredible. I’ve now been to two weddings here and thoroughly enjoyed both. It’s a proper hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Saddleworth, you honestly wouldn’t expect it to be quite so impressive from the outside. Inside, the décor is tasteful, elegant, and beautifully thought out. There’s a stunning balcony that overlooks the main dining area, and the outdoor space is massive, perfect for weddings and, I imagine, other events too. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner. I ordered some drinks I wasn’t supposed to, but he handled it really politely and respectfully. It's easy as a business owner to become jaded and not speak to people as individuals or talk down to them, but he's obviously a good dude and gives people the benefit of the doubt.”

“Lovely, small hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub too, Excellent breakfast. We stayed one night for the standedge tunnel canoe trip. Stayed here on Friday night and then the owner gave us a lift to marsden on sat morning to join the canoe trip. Diggle end of the tunnel is 200m from the hotel. Recommended.”

“Great place, great atmosphere. Always call in now when on a night out in Ashton, and it never disappoints! Great tunes, karaoke (some good and bad!), everyone's always friendly and always have a laugh when in there, cheap beers and shots what else do you need? Would highly recommend.”
