“Great open air cafe, right next to the river. Bit off the beaten track but worth finding.”

“This place is a gem. Anyone travelling in Manchester and looking for deshi breakfast like ourselves look no further. They have huge variety of breakfast and drinks and their deshi chai is a must try. High-quality delicious food, good vibes and the gentle man at the counter was very friendly. Highly recommend ❤️❤️”

“We had wanted to try this place for a while but never got round to it. So glad we finally did as the food is amazing. Backed up by lovely friendly service. Great little restaurant and we’ve already been back twice. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.”
“Lovely cafe open end of the week with excellent coffee and brownies/cake. I also highly recommend the breakfast bagel! Staff voulenteers are so helpful and great community atmosphere.”
“I absolutely love this restaurant! I can’t find this kind of flavor anywhere else. My boyfriend and I come here all the time, and it never disappoints. The food is super DELICIOUS with truly AUTHENTIC Thai flavours. Prices are really affordable, and the staff are always so friendly. Highly recommend checking out HOT THAI—you’ll love it!”
“We came here for a midday lunch and we love this place. All the food was fantastic, I especially enjoyed the chicken kebab. The staff were all so friendly, which is one of the really nice things about Sale Moor.”
“Best cafe around. Great food and staff. Good prices too. Gets busy!”
“Great little coffee shop with a nice food menu. Coffee is the best in Knutsford. We caused them some trouble when we dropped a drink on the floor the staff were happy to help. Then my partner left her wallet on the counter and the barista ran half way across Knutsford to find us and give it back. 5 star service all round.”
“Really lovely little cafe, spotlessly clean, great brew, nice wholemeal toast with real butter. Well definitely go again. Decent menu, staff were really nice too.”
“The service was top-notch—friendly, prompt, and attentive. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in, accommodating special requests with a smile. The highlight for me was the full breakfast. It’s an incredible value, offering generous portions of delicious, freshly made dishes. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was crispy, and the pastries were divine. Every element of the meal, from juices to coffee, was exceptional. Overall, Wrappers delivers excellent service, mouthwatering food, and a wonderful ambiance. Highly recommend starting your day with their full breakfast. Can’t wait to visit again!”
“Fantastic little cafe, had the builders breakfast, and for £7 you couldn't fault it. The service was great and the staff were friendly. 5 stars all thd way.”
“A very cozy cafe in Whitefield. We ordered the Turkish Full Breakfast, very tasty and generous portion. The seeded simit with honey and butter really impressed me. Highly recommended.”
“Breakfast was excellent; both the full English and the salmon bagel were delicious. The customer service was very good, and the menu offers a fantastic variety of breakfast, lunch, and dessert options. The drink options are also good; I had a chai latte, which was perfect. Highly recommended, especially if you are heading to the airport as prices are reasonable too.”
“Great food really nice place staff are great would recommend”
“Quality food. Great staff. Very friendly.”
“Gorgeous space with the best staff. One of the few truly independent places like it in Manchester, who put the time and care into putting on events geared towards community rather than just trying to flog as much booze as possible. The kind of place where you get not one but TWO little biscuits with your coffee!”
“My new favorite breakfast spot! The staff here are absolutely amazing, so warm, welcoming, and kind. As someone who’s shy and Muslim, it means a lot to feel genuinely comfortable in a new place. They go out of their way to make sure I’m looked after, and they even adjust the food to fit my needs without me having to ask twice. It honestly feels like home. What touched me the most? They remembered my last order. That small gesture made me feel seen and appreciated. Highly recommend!”
“Just had the works breakfast. Absolutely gorgeous breakfast. Cooked to perfection. Staff are really nice a friendly, but the menu and homemade pies are something I've got to try next. Great prices as well.”
“Popped in today for the first time. Lovely staff and warm atmosphere. People sitting reading their papers, having a chat and having some food. I grabbed a sausage and egg butty and it hit the spot. I'll certainly be back!”
“First time here. Took our dogs with us and the staff even gave them a free sausage as a snack. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good atmosphere. Would recommend and will definitely return”
“Love cafe vibes, we love coming here when we feel too lazy to go into town for food. They have English breakfast and Asian food which is perfect because both are our comfort food.”
“Great food cooked fresh while you wait. Very clean and a great atmosphere. I have particular dietary requirements and they adapted a menu choice to suit.”
“Been here many times with family and it's one of my favourites in all of Manchester. Food is always tasty and fresh, service is always nice and friendly.”
“Great service and very friendly staff with good food and drinks.”
“I had the wonderful opportunity to visit federal market over the weekend with my sister. There was a small line but we were welcomed with hot chocolate and a wonderful greeting which made it feel like a much shorter wait. As we sat, I was greeting kindly by our waiter as we roughly scanned through the menu with only one thing in mind, French Toast. As the french toast arrived, I was astonished and amazed at the presentation. A nice strawberry syrup almost circling the french toast. Taking my first bite, the soft and pillow-like toast mixed with the not so overly sweet whipped cream and strawberry jam that really worked with well together with the acidity of the fresh fruit cutting through the richness. Every bite was consistent with that same taste as the first bite which I believe is crucial in any dish. The place was vibrant and welcoming with a nice atmosphere. Music even playing at the perfect volume where you can speak to the people with you and still enjoy it. 100% my new favorite spot here in Manchester. Recommend everyone to try the french toast.”
“Dishoom Spinningfields is one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city. My go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings. For drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty. The pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice. Due to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group. Overall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. It’s a place that you can go for a special occasion or even a quick lunch (although a lunch menu / meal-deal offer would make it even more enticing for sure!).”
“As a family tradition we go out for breakfast on the morning of a holiday. We tried this cafe as the reviews were very positive and my wife had heard about it through a work colleague. The staff were very welcoming. There were a few regulars in who made the place seem very community focussed, more friends than customers. The food was really good freshly prepped after we ordered. When I mentioned where we going on holiday the lady who served us explained she was from that same area originally and advised us of things to look out for. Can't fault it. We will visit again definitely.”
